Studying Entrepreneurship, Babel State Polman Students Get Inspiration from Experienced Practitioner Lecturers
Students from the Diploma IV Mechanical Engineering Study Program at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) attended lectures on Entrepreneurship courses that were different from usual on Thursday (21/11/2024) at the Joint Lecture Building.
This activity was attended by 30 students who looked enthusiastic, with an enthusiastic atmosphere when the material was given by Agus Salim, S.T., an experienced practitioner who is also the Head of the HIPMI entrepreneurship division, the Babel United MSME Association, and the owner of the Bakpia Elpia MSME in Bangka Regency.
"Agus Salim, who is also an alumnus of Polman Babel class of 2011, shared various insights and direct experiences regarding how to build and run a business with an effective strategy," he said.
He emphasized the importance of understanding practical steps that are relevant to current industry needs.
“This is not just a theory. The material you learn today can be a valuable provision when you graduate. "Don't be afraid to try, because failure is part of the process," he said, giving motivation

The course lecturer, Zaldy Sirwansyah Suzen, M.T., appreciated the presence of practitioners like Agus Salim who provided a new perspective for students.
"This collaboration with practitioners is a strategic step so that students not only understand theory, but also master practice in the real world," explained Zaldy.
Zaldy is optimistic that the enthusiasm for learning shown by students during this activity will be the initial capital to achieve success in the world of entrepreneurship. He hopes that this activity will be a significant first step for Polman Babel Mechanical Engineering students in broadening their horizons outside the field of engineering.
With a combination of theory, practice and direct experience from experts, students are expected to be more confident in starting a business in the future.
"This activity reflects the great hope of producing graduates who are not only competent in the technical field, but also have a strong entrepreneurial spirit," concluded Zaldy.
