The Bangka Belitung State Police Internship Commission Team Accompanies TRPL Students Undergoing Internships at RRI Bangka.
The Internship Commission Team of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) officially escorted three students from the Applied Software Engineering Technology (TRPL) Undergraduate Program to the Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) office in Bangka Regency on Monday (February 9, 2026). This activity marked the start of the internship program, part of the vocational education curriculum.
The student escort was carried out as a form of Polman Babel's responsibility to ensure students' readiness before entering the workforce. It served as an opening ceremony and a forum for initial coordination between the university and partner institutions.
During the meeting, Polman Babel students not only met with RRI officials but also had the opportunity to interact with students from other universities who were also conducting fieldwork internships at the same institution.
The Head of the Academic Support Unit for Career Development and Entrepreneurship (UPA PKK) in Polman Babel, Harwadi, M.Ed., explained that the presence of the campus team on the first day of the internship played a strategic role in establishing a common understanding regarding the implementation of the internship activities. "The goal is to ensure that the rules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during the internship at RRI can be discussed directly and clearly," he explained.
He added that the internship program plays a crucial role for Polman Babel's applied undergraduate students. This is because the internship is the final course they must take before graduating.
"We hope the students will carry out their internship to the best of their ability, as it serves as their primary preparation before entering the professional world," he added.
Meanwhile, Agus, the student advisor at RRI Bangka Regency, stated that his team is ready to provide full guidance and support throughout the internship.
"We will provide guidance to the students during their internship. If there are any matters that require coordination or are directly related to academics, we will certainly communicate with Polman Babel," he said.
Agus also emphasized the importance of student ethics and discipline during the internship and hoped that students would maintain a professional attitude, comply with regulations, and adapt to the flexible work system at RRI Bangka Regency," he concluded.
