Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) successfully held an interactive discussion with the theme "Challenges and Solutions in Accompanying Gen Z" in the hall building, Friday (18/10/2024).
This event was attended by all Polman Babel employees, work partners from the All-Business Cooperative (KOPASERA), Dharma Wanita Polman Babel, as well as resource person Dr. Zikrina Istifarani, Sp.KJ.

Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., opened the event with remarks that emphasized the importance of this discussion for all employees present. In his speech, I Made emphasized that understanding Gen Z is very crucial for improving services for students, personal development and for supporting family and those closest to them.
"This discussion is not only for individual interests, but also to improve the quality of our interactions with the younger generation," said I Made. This message is conveyed so that each participant can benefit from the material presented.
Chairman of the PPKS Task Force, Yang Fitri Arriyani, M.T., also expressed his hope that all employees can understand and apply the knowledge gained from the discussion. "We all have a responsibility to understand the character and needs of Gen Z, so that we can accompany them better," he said.
Dr. Zikrina Istifarani, Sp.KJ, who was the main resource person, explained the discussion material enthusiastically. He explained the challenges faced by Gen Z, as well as how best to provide effective support.

In her presentation, Zikrina explained the material in detail, including the aims and benefits of this discussion. "Gen Z has unique characteristics, and we need to understand their context so we can provide appropriate assistance," he explained.
The interactive discussion session was dynamic, with several employees actively asking questions related to the material presented. These questions show the participants' enthusiasm in understanding more deeply about Gen Z.
At the end of the activity, dr. Zikrina gave souvenirs to employees who asked questions, as a form of appreciation for their participation. "I hope this can trigger enthusiasm to continue learning and adapting," he concluded.
It is hoped that this activity can build synergy between Polman Babel employees in supporting and assisting the younger generation, as well as increasing awareness of the importance of effective communication.
With this discussion, Polman Babel increasingly emphasizes its commitment to improving services and preventing acts of violence within the Polman Negeri Babel campus.
