Strengthening Product Downstreaming, Polman Negeri Babel Closed the 2026 PRPTNV Digital Marketing Workshop with Branding and Visual Design Materials
Entering the final day of the 2026 State Vocational Higher Education Revitalization Program (PRPTNV), the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic held another Digital Marketing Workshop to Improve Product Downstreaming through Sustainable Partnerships on Friday (June 19, 2026).
This two-day event aimed to improve participants' competency in developing effective product marketing strategies in the digital era. Anggi Anggraini, M.Ds., from the Jakarta State Polytechnic, presented a topic on graphic design in supporting product branding and marketing.
In her presentation, Anggi explained that design is not merely decoration, but rather a communication tool capable of conveying a brand's message and values to consumers. "It plays a strategic role in building visual identity, increasing customer trust, communicating brand values, and maintaining consistency across various communication media," she said.

She further explained the stages in the design process, from developing a design brief, developing a visual concept, sketching, prototyping, and testing, to producing the final artwork ready for use as promotional media.
Anggi emphasized that a good design process is inseparable from in-depth research, as understanding competitors and target audiences is the primary foundation before creating a design.
"You can't design without research, so you must understand your competitors and audience to ensure your message is on target," he explained.

Furthermore, he emphasized the product background, communication objectives, target audience, key messages, tone and manner, and appropriate media selection, as all of these elements are fundamental to building a strong and sustainable visual branding system.
Furthermore, he emphasized basic design principles such as contrast and legibility to ensure the message is well received by the audience, incorporating the concept of visual balance, whether symmetrical for a formal feel or asymmetrical for a more dynamic and informal feel.

In closing, Deputy Director III of Polman Babel along with representatives of lecturers presented plaques and souvenirs to the speakers as a token of gratitude for the knowledge and experience shared during the two-day workshop. The knowledge and experience gained by participants can be applied in the workplace or in supporting product development and downstreaming through more effective and sustainable digital marketing strategies," he concluded.
