PRPTNV 2026 Polman Negeri Babel Holds Digital Marketing Workshop to Increase Product Downstreaming through Sustainable Partnerships
The State Polytechnic of Manufacturing Bangka Belitung continues to strengthen its downstreaming efforts for innovative products through the State Vocational Higher Education Revitalization Program (PRPTNV). One step taken was holding a Digital Marketing Workshop to Enhance Product Downstreaming Through Sustainable Partnerships at the Novilla Hotel on Friday, June 18, 2026.
The workshop was attended by lecturers and educational staff involved in various flagship product development programs at the Bangka Belitung State Polytechnic. This workshop serves as Polman Negeri Babel's strategy to expand the marketing reach of products from its Teaching Factory (TEFA) and other downstreaming programs.
Deputy Director III of Polman Negeri Babel, Eko Sulistyo, M.T., in his remarks stated that the current revitalization program is a continuation of the previous program, which provided support in the form of machinery and equipment to partners to support the production process.
Eko explained that the existing facilities and technology must be balanced with strong marketing capabilities so that the products can be absorbed by a wider consumer base, thus increasing sales and hopefully increasing contributions to Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP).
"One of the obstacles faced so far is limited product marketing, which has not been able to reach markets outside Bangka Belitung, as digital marketing is a crucial solution for expanding promotional reach," he said.
Furthermore, he explained that various revitalization programs have produced several innovations and products with potential for development. "From previous years, Polman Negeri Babel has developed various areas such as the Precision Manufacturing Center (PMC), molding, and the procurement of supporting production technology," he added.
Furthermore, in 2025, we successfully launched several new facilities, including laser cutting technology and compost processing machines, to achieve our downstreaming target for 2026," he acknowledged.
"This workshop enabled all participants to understand effective digital marketing strategies, enabling campus-innovated products to be more competitive. Future Teaching Factory programs should involve students so they gain hands-on experience upon graduation," he said.
Furthermore, on the first day of the workshop, participants received material from a lecturer from Jakarta State Polytechnic, Anggi Anggraini, M.Ds., on the development of lesson plans and the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) integrated with digital marketing strategies to strengthen project-based vocational learning," he concluded.
Anggi explained that digital marketing is currently a key requirement for supporting successful product downstreaming through the use of social media, digital platforms, and appropriate content strategies. "This ensures that Polman Babel's innovative products have a greater chance of being recognized by the wider community and becoming competitive, thereby creating a sustainable partnership ecosystem that connects educational institutions with consumer needs more effectively," he concluded.
