The State Polytechnic of Babel Holds the 2025 PA Session, with 227 Titles Examined by Students
The campus of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) was more dynamic than usual. From July 7 to 11, 2025, the Final Project Commission Team held a Final Project (PA) hearing, attended by hundreds of students from various study programs.
This Final Project Hearing is a crucial stage that final-year students must complete before being declared graduated. This year, a total of 352 students registered to participate, bringing 227 project titles reflecting diverse innovations in the manufacturing and technology fields.

The students participating in the hearing came from two levels of education: Diploma III (Diploma III) and Diploma IV (Diploma IV). Participating study programs included Electronics, Mechanical Design Engineering, and Machine Maintenance and Repair for the Diploma III level. Meanwhile, at the Diploma IV level, there were Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics, Software Engineering Technology (TRPL), and Manufacturing Design Engineering Technology (TRPM).
The Chair of the Final Project Committee, Muhammad Yunus, M.T., when confirmed on Friday (July 11, 2025), stated that the final exam proceeded smoothly. He noted that student enthusiasm was high, especially since the exam provided an opportunity to showcase the results of their hard work over the past semester. "This year's number of participants reached 352 students, with a total of 227 project titles. Each project represents a student's efforts in designing, creating, and testing technical solutions to real-world problems in their respective fields," he said.

Furthermore, Yunus added that the Final Project exam is an annual event scheduled in the academic calendar. This activity serves not only as an academic evaluation but also as a concrete demonstration of the application of knowledge in the industrial world.
"We implement it every year using a pattern that has been refined over the years. The projects submitted by students are increasingly varied and contextualized to current technological needs," he added.

However, not all students were able to attend the scheduled defense. Yunus stated that there would be a follow-up defense for students unable to attend for certain reasons, and the schedule would be determined later. "With a large number of participants, this year's Final Project defense is an important opportunity to showcase the potential of Polman Babel graduates as work-ready professionals. This process not only tests technical skills but also serves as a benchmark for students' mental and communication readiness," he concluded.
It is hoped that the results of this defense will encourage students to continue innovating, while strengthening Polman Babel's contribution to producing superior human resources in the fields of vocational and manufacturing technology," he concluded.
