Industrial Work Preparation Socialization Provides Preparation for Polman Negeri Babel Students Before Graduation
Ahead of graduation, the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) held a job preparation briefing for final-year students. The event took place in the campus hall on Wednesday (September 3, 2025), with approximately 313 students in attendance.
The event aimed to provide a realistic overview of the challenges the graduates will face in the industrial world. The campus presented two speakers from among its internal lecturers: Harwadi, M.Ed., and Anjaka Ray Gucchi, M.M.

In his presentation, Harwadi reminded students that finding employment in the industry is not easy and requires mental preparation, skills, and strategies so that their diploma is not merely symbolic but truly useful.
Furthermore, Harwadi emphasized the importance of developing a work ethic from college. The industrial world values professionalism, hard work, and adaptability more than mere academic grades.
"When you graduate, you must be ready to face the world of work. "Use your diploma to the best of your ability, don't just use it as decoration. Prepare yourself now," he explained.
Meanwhile, Anjaka Ray Gucchi focused more on the technical aspects of preparing for job competition. He said that writing a good curriculum vitae (CV) is the first step toward recruitment because it establishes your identity in the eyes of the company. "Take it seriously, demonstrate relevant experience and skills. From there, you can get the opportunity to proceed to the next stage of the process," he concluded.
Furthermore, Anjaka emphasized the importance of good job interview skills, as many job seekers fail not because of a lack of technical skills, but because they are unable to answer questions confidently and clearly.
"The interview is a crucial moment. You must know what to do, how to behave, and how to answer questions clearly," he explained.

To conclude the briefing, prizes were awarded to students who bravely came forward during the question-and-answer session. This was both a token of appreciation and a motivational gesture, encouraging students to be more active in their interactions and to hone their communication skills.
