Students of the Polman State University of Babel (TRPL) Participate in Digital Microskills Training with BBLSDM Medan
Digital skills enhancement training was once again held to equip students in the Applied Software Engineering Technology (TRPL) undergraduate program from both Level 2 and Level 3. Microskills training was held by the Medan Communication and Digital Human Resources Training Center on the second floor of the Joint Lecture Building on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
Around 115 students attended the training, who showed a keen interest from the start, actively listening to the material and engaging in discussions presented by the speakers.
The event was led by Ryan, a speaker from BBLSDM Medan, and was facilitated by several lecturers from the TRPL Study Program. This collaboration is expected to connect with the academic needs of higher education institutions.

In his presentation, Ryan explained various strategic topics, ranging from Artificial Intelligence (AI), IT Security, Public Speaking, Design Thinking, to Digital Skills. "The material is designed to flexibly enhance students' practical skills through a micro-learning approach," he explained.
Ryan explained that mastering microskills is key for students to compete in the era of digital transformation, even though small but specific skills can have a significant impact on graduates' career readiness.
Meanwhile, the Head of the TRPL Study Program, Sidhiq Andriyanto, M.Kom., stated that this activity aims to improve students' basic skills. He hopes this training will motivate students to be more enthusiastic about seeking and developing additional skills.

Sidhiq also stated that students are encouraged to utilize various digital learning platforms, one of which is the Digitalent application, as a means of developing their competencies independently and sustainably.
"Because microskills training like this is highly relevant to current industry needs, which demand graduates not only excel in theory but also possess applicable practical skills," he said.
Looking ahead, Sidhiq hopes similar activities can be held again next year so that TRPL students can maximize their additional skills to prepare them for entering the workforce and the digital technology industry.
