Final-Year Students at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic Equipped with PPKI Training Prior to Graduation
To prepare final-year students for graduation, the Academic Support Team for Career Development and Entrepreneurship at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) held a briefing on preparing to enter the industrial workforce at the Polman Babel Hall on Wednesday (August 19, 2026).
A total of 321 students from Diploma III (D3) and Applied Bachelor (D4) programs appeared optimistic as they listened to the material presented by two speakers: Asrie Dyah, M.Ak., and Ir. Dedy Ramdhani Harahap, M.Sc. (Eng).
Harwadi, M.Ed., Head of the Academic Support Unit for Career Development and Entrepreneurship at Polman Babel, stated that this preparatory session is an effort to provide students with an initial understanding of how to prepare for recruitment processes in the industrial sector.
Harwadi emphasized the importance of students learning early on how to craft a Curriculum Vitae as part of their job preparation. The session also aimed to build confidence for upcoming job interviews.
"This preparation is not merely a routine activity but an integral part of career development—including through campus recruitment events, which can be conducted either in-person or online," he said.
Meanwhile, speaker Asrie Dyah, M.Ak., explained the role of the Curriculum Vitae in the recruitment process, noting that a CV must be able to concisely and clearly showcase an individual's competencies and value.
Asrie outlined a simple formula for creating an effective CV—comprising "who," skills, proof, and value—and advised students to clearly list their educational background, including coursework relevant to their target job roles.
“Relevant experiences should also be highlighted—such as internships, campus projects, organizational involvement, competitions, freelance work, and volunteer activities—alongside both technical and soft skills,” she noted.
She emphasized that students need to understand their own competencies, project experience, and target industry roles before deciding on a career path, enabling them to select opportunities that align with their abilities and areas of expertise.

Separately, in an interview on Thursday (August 20, 2026), the second interviewee, Ir. Dedy Ramdhani Harahap, M.Sc. (Eng.), highlighted the international scholarship opportunities offered by the INTENSE Taiwan program. He noted that this program serves as a viable option for Polman Babel students to pursue further education while gaining experience in the global industry.
Dedy explained that the INTENSE Taiwan program offers fully funded scholarships along with opportunities for study and internships within the global industry. Scholarship recipients have the potential to be professionally recruited by the companies that selected them during the application process and to work for a period of two years.
Dedy emphasized that the program aims to prepare students to become top-tier professionals—particularly in fields such as STEM, semiconductors, and finance—within Taiwanese companies; students interested in the INTENSE Taiwan program are required to prepare by developing their Mandarin language skills.
“Mandarin classes are not merely for language learning; they also involve preparing study plans and mastering the proper interview techniques required when students engage with Taiwanese universities or companies,” he continued.
Dedy added that this preparation would help prospective participants understand the profiles of target campuses and their corporate partners, enabling students to make more informed choices and better prepare for the selection process.
He further expressed hope that these preparatory efforts would increase the annual success rate of participants, allowing Polman Babel students to compete effectively with graduates from other countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand.
