Cool Research and Profitable Achievements, Babel State Polman Students Win 3rd Place in APART at USU
Students from the Applied Undergraduate Study Program (D-IV) of Precision Agriculture, Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) have once again made achievements at the national level.
The team consisting of Muhammad Khoirul Arifin and Nita Anggi Felisha, with the guidance of Mahmudin, S.P., M.Si., succeeded in winning 3rd place in the National Scientific Poster category at the 2025 Agriculture Parade of Art (APART) event held by the University of North Sumatra (USU) on 20-22 February 2025.
This competition was attended by various universities from all over Indonesia, making it a competitive and prestigious event in the agricultural sector. The success of Polman Babel students shows the quality of research and innovation that is able to compete on the national stage.

When interviewed, Tuesday (25/02/2025) the supervisor, Mahmudin, S.P., M.Sc., expressed his pride in the team's achievements. "I congratulate the Polman Babel Precision Agriculture team on their success in winning 3rd place in the APART 2025 National Scientific Poster. This is the result of hard work, perseverance and a high enthusiasm for learning," he said.
Furthermore, Mahmudin hopes that this achievement will encourage other students to continue working. We want students to be more motivated to create better and better quality scientific work.
"That way, the results of their research can be useful, not only for the world of education but also for the wider community," he added.
He also emphasized that the scientific posters produced do not only stop at competitions. "This can be further developed and implemented in various forms, both in advanced research, community service, and national and international journal publications," he said.
Apart from that, Mahmudin also hopes that students who take part in this event can share their experiences with their friends. Participating in this competition certainly provides valuable experience. "I hope they can share their insights and inspiration with other students, so that more and more will be motivated to carry out research," he said.

Muhammad Khoirul Arifin, one of the Precision Agriculture students, shared a story about their struggles in preparing for the competition. "He revealed that the journey to the competition was full of challenges, starting from in-depth research to the poster preparation process which required high precision," he added.
“We face various challenges, from determining an interesting concept to ensuring the data we present is accurate and relevant. "However, with the guidance of lecturers and solid teamwork, we managed to complete everything well," said Khoirul.
Despite winning 3rd place, Khoirul emphasized the importance of remaining humble and open to criticism and suggestions. We realize that awards are not the end of the journey. "We will continue to learn and develop so that it can be useful for other people," he said.
