EC ROAD English Language UKM Polman Negeri Babel, Learn While Having Fun at Tikus Mas Beach
The English Language Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic once again presented an exciting activity titled EC ROAD, embracing the concept of "Have Fun While Learning English." It took place at Tikus Mas Beach on Sunday (December 29, 2025), providing a relaxed yet rewarding learning atmosphere.
EC ROAD opened with a live English drama performance by 56 UKM members, complemented by various educational games designed to interactively improve speaking, vocabulary, and listening skills.
Furthermore, the activity also featured coaching materials from the UKM English advisor, who provided practical tips on how to improve students' English skills, from simple habits to easy-to-implement creative learning strategies.

When contacted on Wednesday (December 3, 2025), the Head of the English Language Student Activity Unit, Riski, stated that this activity had a positive impact on students because participants not only had fun on the beach, but also learned English through game challenges and stage performances at this year's EC ROAD.
Riski plans a larger event next semester, including a provincial-level English Club Festival, featuring various English language competitions and other exciting performances.
"Learning English doesn't always have to be formal. Here, students can learn through fun social interactions filled with new experiences," he said.
Furthermore, Riski expressed his hope that the English Language Student Activity Unit would continue to be a leading student activity unit on campus. "To become a top student activity unit, we certainly need large, extensive, and beneficial work programs that require funding, so we will strive to find sponsors to support these programs without losing the fun that is our hallmark," he concluded.

On the same occasion, the English Student Activity Unit (UKM) Advisor, Shanty Dwi Krishnaningsih, M.Hum., encouraged students to "encourage EC ROAD activities to become a fresher and more effective alternative learning space for students," she added.
Shanty explained that activities like this need to be further developed so that a creative and positive learning approach will encourage students to be more confident in using English, both in academic settings and in everyday social interactions," she emphasized.
