Babel State Polman Internship Commission visit to PT Bangka Agro Mandiri Program Evaluation and Appreciation of MBKM Students
The Internship Commission Team from the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) paid an official visit to PT Bangka Agro Mandiri on Tuesday (10/12/2024).
This visit aims to monitor the progress of internship students in the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) program, especially from the Mechanical Engineering Diploma IV Study Program.
The Polman Babel group consisting of Zanu Saputra, M.Tr.T., Agita Rindri, M.Eng., and Juanda, M.T., was warmly welcomed by representatives of PT Bangka Agro Mandiri, namely Iwik Karmita as Regional Manager and Tirta as field supervisor. The discussion was relaxed but productive in the company meeting room.
During the meeting, Regional Manager of PT Bangka Agro Mandiri, Iwik Karmita, expressed his appreciation for the performance of Polman Babel students.
“Their attitude is very good, and practical skills such as welding and carving are also very adequate. "We see that their hard work spirit really supports the company's production rhythm," he said.
Iwik also added that interns not only contribute to production, but are also able to adapt to the work culture at the company. This is an added value in building harmonious working relationships between campus and industry.

Chairman of the Internship Commission, Zanu Saputra, M.Tr.T., gave his response regarding input from the company. We are very grateful for the guidance provided.
"If there are mistakes or things that need to be corrected by students, we ask companies not to hesitate to convey them to us. This is important so that students continue to develop and learn," said Zanu.
Zanu also emphasized the importance of good communication between campuses and companies. According to him, the success of the internship program is not only determined by the students, but also by solid collaboration between the two parties.
In this discussion, the company also provided several suggestions regarding student skills development, including additional training relevant to industry needs. This was welcomed by the Polman Babel team as input for perfecting the MBKM internship curriculum.
This internship program has provided real benefits, not only for students who gain work experience, but also for companies who obtain quality human resources. Tirta, as a field supervisor, revealed that the presence of interns helped speed up the production process.
This visit ended with a field visit to several intern student work areas. The Polman Babel team directly observed how students applied the skills they learned on campus in real work situations.
The hope is that this collaboration will continue and have a positive impact on both the world of education and industry. The MBKM program at Polman Babel is increasingly becoming a bridge that effectively connects the campus with the world of work.
