The Babel State Police Visited PT. NPS PLTU 3 Babel to Discuss Student Internship Programs and Strategic Partnerships
The Internship Commission Team from the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) paid an official visit to PT. Nusantara Power Service Unit PLTU 3 Babel on Tuesday (July 22, 2025). The visit aimed to discuss student internship opportunities and other strategic partnership programs.
The visit was welcomed by Erfan, a representative of PT. Nusantara Power Service Unit PLTU 3 Babel, during a relaxed discussion in the meeting room. This opportunity provided an opportunity for the exchange of ideas between the university and industry to strengthen synergy between vocational education and the electricity sector.

The Head of the Polman Babel Career and Cooperation Center, Harwadi, M.Ed., explained that in addition to internship programs, his institution also offers opportunities for collaboration in research and community service. This aligns with the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education by lecturers at Polman Babel.
"We hope this visit can be followed up with the signing of an official Cooperation Agreement (PKS) in the near future, so that various partnership programs can be implemented immediately," he added.
In response, Erfan expressed his appreciation for Polman Babel's initiative. "PT. Nusantara Power Service Unit PLTU 3 Babel is open to student internships, especially since several employees there are Polman Babel alumni, so they are already familiar with the culture and skills of the graduates," he said.
Furthermore, Erfan sees great potential in Polman Babel's research proposal, particularly regarding the processing of coal waste or Fly Ash Bottom Ash (FABA). This waste has the potential to be processed into silica fertilizer, which is useful for the agricultural sector around the PLTU," he said.
"We greatly appreciate community service from Polman Babel, especially those who can support the use of FABA and other appropriate technology solutions," he said.
In addition to FABA processing, Erfan also touched on the needs of the surrounding community (ring 1), which includes a duck farming development program. This program is aimed at becoming part of a circular economy and is in dire need of innovations such as animal feed printing machines.
"Thank you Polman Babel for visiting. In the future, we hope to open up great opportunities to build sustainable partnerships that not only strengthen the link and match between campus and industry, but also provide real solutions for the environment and the community around PT. Nusantara Power Service Unit PLTU 3 Babel," he concluded.
