The Bangka Belitung Islands State Police Polman Negeri Babel Received a Visit from the Central Bangka Marine and Fisheries Department to Strengthen Synergy in the Fisheries Sector.
The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) received another important visit, this time from the Bangka Regency Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service, on Friday (10/17/2025). This visit was the first step in exploring strategic collaboration in education and research, particularly related to the development of a technology-based fisheries sector.
The delegation from the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service was welcomed by the Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., along with the leadership and faculty representatives in the main meeting room of the campus. A warm and enthusiastic atmosphere was evident throughout the meeting.
In his remarks, the Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, expressed his support and gratitude for the visit by the Bangka Regency Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service. He considered the visit a positive step in strengthening synergy between the educational sector and the local government.
Furthermore, I Made added that Polman Babel has various resources and facilities that can support technological development in the fisheries sector. He added that Polman Babel contributes through technological development, human resource training, and applied research.
"This collaboration can be a positive step in creating innovative solutions for the fisheries and maritime sector in Bangka Belitung," he said.
Meanwhile, Imam Soehadi, Head of the Bangka Regency Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office, expressed his admiration for the facilities and technology at Polman Babel. "This campus has great potential to support the advancement of the fisheries sector through the application of modern technology," he explained.
In fact, Polman Babel is highly competent, especially in the areas of aquaculture technology, infrastructure, and the handling of fish feed and fry. This presents a great opportunity for collaboration," he said.
Imam further explained that his office is preparing a technology-based downstream research plan that will involve Polman Babel as the main partner. This program is expected to generate new innovations in the development of integrated fish farming clusters in the Bangka region.
"We have prepared budget planning and innovation development for the fisheries sector," he concluded.

The meeting concluded with a group photo session and a field visit to several technology laboratories at Polman Babel. This visit marks a promising start for innovative collaboration between vocational education and the maritime sector in Bangka Belitung.
