Polman Negeri Babel Becomes Strategic Partner of SMK Negeri 1 Tukak Sadai in Strengthening Practical Learning
The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) received a direct visit from SMK Negeri 1 Tukak Sadai, South Bangka in order to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the Polman Babel Meeting Room, Tuesday (08/07/2025).
This activity is the first step in building synergy between vocational secondary education and vocational higher education in Babel.
The group from SMK Negeri 1 Tukak Sadai was led directly by the Principal, who was warmly welcomed by the leadership of Polman Babel. The meeting took place in a friendly and open atmosphere, marking a collaborative spirit in strengthening vocational education based on industrial practices.

Polman Babel Director, I Made Andik Setiawan, Ph.D., said that this collaboration is not just a document signing, but also a bridge to create skilled and ready-to-use human resources.
"Through this kind of collaboration, we want to ensure that vocational education truly answers the needs of industry," he said.
Furthermore, I Made highlighted the importance of synergy between vocational schools and vocational colleges. We cannot work alone, there must be continuity between education in vocational schools and campuses so that graduates have competencies that are in line with the world of work," he added.
The Principal of SMK Negeri 1 Tukak Sadai, Sutiono expressed his confidence in the development of expertise programs in schools. With this MoU, we are increasingly confident in developing learning that is in accordance with industry needs. This is also a motivation to continue to improve," he said.
He explained that so far his party has tried to align the practical curriculum with the industrial world and now feels stronger because it already has partners from the world of vocational higher education such as Polman Babel.
"With the practical learning approach in Polman Babel, this collaboration further strengthens our direction going forward," he explained.
