TRPL Student Final Project, Making E-Commerce a Digital-Based MSMEs
SUNGAILIAT-POLMANBABEL. Students of the Software Engineering Technology Study Program (TRPL) of the Bangka Belitung State Polytechnic of Manufacturing (Polman Babel) have successfully completed a final project that utilizes E-Commerce for the management of digital-based MSMEs and IKMs.
It is research and community service by students carried out by Agus Fitriyani and Muhammad Ramadhan through their final project activities.
Namely an E-commerce that is integrated with WebGIS to digitize MSMEs & IKM in the Bangka district in collaboration with the Bangka Regency Manpower, Industry and Trade Office (Disnakerindag).
From the results of discussions with the Head of the Bangka Regency Disperindag who positively welcomed the research and service team to collaborate with the district government in implementing digital e-commerce for MSMEs as an effort to increase regional economic growth.
Socialization and assistance was also carried out with the Bangka Regency Manpower and Trade Office on August 10 at the Office of Manpower and Trade, after the E-commerce system met the needs.
In the final project, Agus and Ramadhan were accompanied by Riki Afriansyah as a supervisor and Muhammad Setya Pratama as a team that understands entrepreneurial management.
"We launched this system because based on our initial research, there are still many people here who do not know about the existence of IKM & MSMEs, even though judging from the BPS statistical reports the figures have reached 8000 and will continue to increase," said Riki Afriansyah (16/08).
He explained that from the initial research conducted, MSMEs & IKM here still carry out word-of-mouth promotions while digitalization only uses WhatsApp and social media such as Instagram.
"From the results of interviews conducted with the head of the Manpower and Trade Office, Asep Setiawan, e-commerce is indeed needed," said Riki.
Furthermore, Riki explained that this system is not only an e-commerce, but can also be managed by the Manpower and Trade Office, from registering to automatic financial reports that can be sent directly to the Office of Manpower and Trade.
"Disnakerindag, so it will be easier for monitoring and determining the next plan in the development of MSMEs & IKM later," said Riki.
Riki also said that Polman Babel is ready to assist in the further development of this system and in system configuration when it is implemented.
Not only that, Polman Babel is also open if there are other problems from the Manpower and Trade Office that require collaboration with Polman Babel, especially in the field of Information Technology.
As for this collaboration, the Manpower and Trade Office, represented by the Head of Industry, Sanusi, welcomed the results of this E-commerce product from Polman Babel.
"For MSMEs & IKM, the difficult aspect is the marketing aspect, with this (e-commerce) marketing is one step ahead." Sanusi said.
From the results of this activity, the Disnakerindag and the Polman Babel Team have the same willingness to collaborate in solving other existing problems by applying Information Technology for the better progress of Bangka Regency.
