Horrifying but True, the Bangka National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) Reveals Dark Facts About Drugs to New Students
The atmosphere suddenly became quiet but filled with curiosity when the Bangka Regency National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) attended the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) on Wednesday (August 6, 2025).
More than just a casual socialization session, the presence of the Head of the Bangka BNNK, Hariyansyah, S.T., and his team captured the attention of hundreds of new students who filled the Polman Babel Hall. They came with an important mission: early education about the dangers of drugs on campus.
Without further ado, Hariyansyah opened his presentation with a simple yet thought-provoking question, "What are drugs?" This question served as a gateway for students to think critically before receiving the quite thought-provoking material.
Hariyansyah explained in detail the definition of drugs, their types, and the abuse of these dangerous substances among teenagers and college students. He also highlighted the subtle ways drug dealers target the younger generation as their primary target.
"Never feel safe. They can enter through friendships, even through seemingly unsuspecting circumstances," he said, pointing out several real-life cases handled by the Bangka National Narcotics Agency (BNNK).
He not only explained theoretically, but also shared true stories of drug abuse victims. One example was an outstanding student who ultimately lost his future after falling into this dark world.

This presentation immediately transformed the hall into a reflective atmosphere. Many students nodded and fell silent, realizing that drug threats can come from anywhere, including within their own social circles.
Furthermore, the students were also given insight into the role of the BNN and the importance of reporting any drug abuse in their community.
"You are the front line. Be a brave generation that rejects drugs," he emphasized.
