Inauguration of Structural Officials: A Strategic Step for Polman Negeri Babel Towards Excellent Governance

The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) officially inaugurated three new structural officials on Friday (August 1, 2025). The inauguration took place in the Presentation Room, amidst a solemn atmosphere and renewed hope for the institution's progress.
Somawardi, M.T., was inaugurated in person as Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Division. He was accompanied by Olan Romdhoni, S.E., who currently serves as Head of the Academic Subdivision. Meanwhile, Wahyuni Anggraeni, S.E., was inaugurated online via Zoom as Head of the General Subdivision, witnessed by the Deputy Directors I and II, as well as invited guests and heads of other units.
The Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., emphasized in his remarks that every mandate given to him must be carried out with full responsibility, integrity, and a collaborative spirit.
"A position is a trust for which accountability will one day be called. Therefore, I hope the newly appointed officials can work optimally, support each other across units, and prioritize continuous evaluation and improvement," he said.
He also emphasized the importance of cross-departmental synergy to resolve existing challenges and encourage improvements in service quality and institutional productivity as a whole.
"Don't work in silos. Strengthen communication and conduct regular internal evaluations. Let us serve with heart and high responsibility," he added.
This inauguration is expected to be the starting point for strengthening institutional governance, particularly in the academic and student affairs fields. This moment also serves as a form of structural leadership regeneration within Polman Babel," I Made emphasized.
Somawardi, M.T., after his inauguration, expressed his readiness to carry out the mandate of his position with full dedication. He also encouraged his entire team to continue moving forward and maintaining integrity.
"I will do my best to carry out this task and convey the Director's message to strengthen synergy between units. "We hope that academic, student affairs, and collaboration services can be further optimized," he said.
Olan Romdhoni, S.E., who currently serves as Head of the Academic Subdivision, expressed a similar sentiment. He expressed his readiness to carry out his duties professionally and uphold collaborative values.
"I believe that with good communication and teamwork, we can bring about positive change," he said.
Meanwhile, Wahyuni Anggraeni, S.E., who attended the inauguration online, expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her by her leadership. She is determined to make the best contribution in accordance with her main duties and functions.
