The Informatics and Business Student Association of Polman Negeri Babel Focuses on Character Building Through the 4th Mabim
Students of the Informatics and Business Department of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) held their fourth Guidance Period (Mabim) briefing in the campus open field on Thursday (November 13, 2025). This activity served as an important agenda to strengthen the character and cohesiveness of the new student intake.
Approximately 120 students actively participated in the briefing. The open atmosphere allowed for a more fluid and relaxed discussion, yet remained focused on developing joint activity plans.

When contacted on Friday (November 14, 2025), Bayu Safyndra, Head of the Informatics and Business Student Association (HMJ), explained that the fourth Mabim focused on preparing the progress of the Student Creativity Program (PKM) and discussing the concept for the uniform and logo for the 32nd Informatics and Business student intake.
"Furthermore, students directly voted to determine the color of the uniform and the class logo they would wear. The selection process was interactive and involved all participants," he added.
Bayu emphasized that the selected class uniform would not simply be an attribute, but rather the official identity of the 32nd Informatics and Business students. This visual identity is expected to further strengthen the sense of togetherness among students.
"From Mabim, we can see how students build character, practice activeness, hone soft skills, and strengthen the sense of camaraderie among fellow students in the department," he said.
Furthermore, this activity should ensure there are no misunderstandings. HMJ ensures that every instruction is conveyed clearly so that all students can fully participate in the process," he said.
The Mabim Briefing at the Polman Babel Informatics and Business Department plays a role in ensuring students not only excel academically but also develop strong, united characters and are ready to contribute to various campus programs," he explained.
