120 Students of D4 Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Study Program Participate in MBKM Socialization
D4 Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Study Program students participated in the MBKM Socialization at the Babel Polman Hall on Wednesday, October 25, 2022.
SUNGAILIAT_ POLMANBABEL. The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Babel State Police) carried out the socialization of the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) program in the Campus Hall on Wednesday, October 25, 2022.
The agenda for this socialization activity is a manifestation of the National Police of Babylon in carrying out government programs through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology related to the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) program for State Universities and Private Universities.
A total of 120 students from the D4 Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Study Program from level one and two participated in the socialization.
Also present were several Polman Babel lecturers including Dr. Sukanto, Eko Yudo., M.T. Errwanto., M.T. Erwansyah., M.T. Husman., M.T. Juanda., M. T. and Zanu Saputra.,M.Tr.T. which provides Introductory material on the Curriculum, Implementation of Independent Learning on the Independent Campus (MBKM), and the 2022 Independent Campus Competition Program (PPKM).
Head of the D4 Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Study Program, Boy Rollastin., M.T. said the purpose of this socialization was so that students could prepare future study plans in accordance with the MBKM program.
According to him, the Merdeka Campus Program aims to encourage students to master various sciences based on their interests and talents in order to prepare them to enter the world of work later.
"Through this policy, Merdeka Campus provides an opportunity for students to choose the courses they will take," said Boy Rollastin (25/10).
Boy continued, through MBKM students are also given the opportunity to take courses outside the study program at the same university, take courses in the same study program at different universities, take courses in different study programs at different universities, and/or learning outside the university.
"So the knowledge gained does not have to be obtained from within the Polman Babel campus, but can be obtained outside the campus," he said.
According to him, the Merdeka Learning program at the Merdeka Campus is an opportunity for universities to make changes to the education curriculum, and he also hopes that the Babel Police Force can carry out MBKM well.
"This opportunity must be immediately applied by making changes, especially changes that can be even better by compiling the MBKM curriculum," said Boy Rollastin
"Today's activity is one of the agendas in the process of compiling the MBKM curriculum this year, so that it can create Universities that are Link and Match with the industrial world and in accordance with government regulations," he said.
The same thing was also conveyed by I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng.,Ph.D. as Director of Polman Babel said the MBKM program is an opportunity for students to explore talents and interests to a wider level.
"I really support the socialization that is being carried out in order to implement a good Merdeka Learning Campus (MBKM)," said I Made Andik Setiawan
"I also hope that by holding this activity, top level management and the head of study programs will immediately implement MBKM," he added. (hms).
