Riki Afriansyah, M.T., a lecturer at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel), served as a resource person for an in-house training (IHT) session on coding and artificial intelligence at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Baru.
A lecturer from the Software Engineering Technology (TRPL) study program at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic served as a resource person for an In-House Training (IHT) session on Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) held at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Baru on Thursday (July 23, 2026).
Riki Afriansyah, M.T., who readily shared his expertise, served as the resource person, delivering the material and providing hands-on guidance for the practical implementation of coding and artificial intelligence. "Participants were introduced to various platforms and technologies that can be utilized to develop learning media, create simple applications, and leverage artificial intelligence to enhance the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process," he explained.

Regarding the integration of KKA into the curriculum, Riki explained that teachers are required not only to understand the fundamental concepts of programming and artificial intelligence but also to be capable of implementing these technologies in the classroom—skills gained through training that covered everything from the basics to the practical use of digital technologies.
"Teachers need to be proficient in programming, the use of various artificial intelligence tools, and even the development of simple applications that can foster innovation in classroom learning," he stated.
In light of this, one of the training participants, Dewi Kartika Subekti, noted that the activity provided immense benefits for teachers in terms of enhancing their digital competencies.

He continued by noting that the training provided valuable new experiences and skills for applying coding and artificial intelligence within the school environment. The material covered was highly relevant to current educational needs.
"The knowledge gained can be implemented in the teaching and learning process and utilized to develop innovative learning media and applications, thereby enhancing students' creativity and competence," he added.
"Furthermore—thankfully—this in-house training enables me personally to implement coding and artificial intelligence in the classroom. It not only boosts educator competence—supporting the digital transformation of education—but also prepares students with 21st-century skills that align with technological advancements," he concluded.
