Polman Negeri Babel and Trakindo Plant Fruit Trees and Inaugurate Collaboration
The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) and PT. Trakindo held a fruit tree seedling planting event, which coincided with the signing of a cooperation agreement on the first floor of the Joint Lecture Building on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
The event was attended by the Director of Polman Babel, Deputy Director I, Deputy Director III, campus staff, students, and representatives from PT. Trakindo.

In his remarks, the Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., emphasized the value of blessings in every good deed, including caring for the environment through tree planting. "This is not merely ceremonial, but has long-term significance in maintaining the sustainability of the campus environment," he explained.
Planting a tree is not the end of the process, but rather the beginning of a shared responsibility that must be upheld by the Polman Babel academic community.
"After we plant, the most important thing is maintenance. If the tree is simply planted without care, it will not survive," he said.

Furthermore, I Made signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the implementation of a partnership with PT. Trakindo, as this collaboration has significant potential for sustainable development in delivering various programs that benefit both the campus and the company.
"This collaboration is not merely ceremonial, but must be sustainable with various programs that can support the development of students and the institution," he added.

Meanwhile, PT. Trakindo Branch Manager, Faisal Muhdana, stated that technological development must be balanced with environmental awareness, with the tree planting program being one of the company's CSR initiatives.
Faisal explained that the tree planting program, which uses fruit seedlings, was chosen so that all Polman Babel employees, including lecturers, administrative staff, and students, could directly benefit from the benefits.
"In the future, the fruits of these trees can be enjoyed and benefit the campus," he said.

Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude to Polman Babel for their support of this program, and expressed his hope that the existing collaboration will continue to expand with other broader activities that will have a positive impact not only on the environment but also on human resource development," he concluded.
