Filled with Emotion and Pride, Polman Negeri Babel’s 30th Graduation Ceremony Sees Off 321 Graduates
The Director of the Bangka Belitung State Polytechnic for Manufacturing, I Made Andik Setiawan, Ph.D., urged the 321 graduates to always uphold the good name of their alma mater, their parents, and the nation as they embark on the next stage of their lives following the completion of their studies; he delivered this message before the parents and invited guests at Polman Babel’s 30th graduation ceremony.
The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) held its 30th graduation ceremony in the campus auditorium on Wednesday (September 9, 2026), marking a special milestone for hundreds of students who have completed their education.
For this ceremony, Polman Babel graduated a total of 321 students across various programs: 57 from the Diploma III program in Machine Maintenance and Repair Engineering (TPPM), 46 from Mechanical Design Engineering (TPcM), 58 from Electronics Engineering (TE), 44 from the Applied Bachelor program in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (TMM), 53 from Applied Bachelor in Electronics Engineering, 49 from Applied Bachelor in Software Engineering Technology (TRPL), and 14 from Applied Bachelor in Manufacturing Design Engineering Technology (TRPM).
A notable feature of this year's ceremony was the presence of various industrial companies from Bangka Belitung; their attendance added a unique dimension to the event while strengthening the ties between vocational education and the needs of the industrial sector.
In addition to industry representatives, delegates from various high schools (SMA) and vocational high schools (SMK) attended the ceremony. Their presence offered prospective students—the next generation preparing for higher education—a closer look at the vocational learning environment at Polman Babel.
In his remarks, the Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, Ph.D., stated that the day was truly special for the graduates and their families, as it marked a significant milestone in their higher education journey following the successful completion of their studies at the campus.
I Made stated that the graduates play a vital role as the nation's next generation; graduation is not the end of the journey, but rather the beginning of applying the knowledge, skills, and values acquired during their education.
“Graduates must uphold the good name of the institution, their alma mater, their families, and the nation and state,” he explained.
He also invited the parents of the graduates present to tour the campus after the ceremony, giving them the opportunity to witness firsthand the technological advancements and various changes within the Polman Babel vocational education environment.
Congratulations to the graduates who have successfully completed their education; please use the knowledge you have gained for positive purposes that benefit the community,” he said.
Meanwhile, Febry Yansha—a representative of the graduates from the Applied Bachelor’s Program in Electronics Engineering—had the opportunity to deliver a message to the graduates and invited guests; he admitted to feeling both proud and nervous at being entrusted to represent the entire graduating class during this historic occasion.
“Standing here, my heart is racing because I have the opportunity to represent all my fellow graduates,” he said.
Febry noted that, as members of Generation Z, the graduates had overcome various challenges throughout their education—navigating pressures and the demands of adapting to a changing world—as part of the journey that ultimately led to their graduation.
He also expressed his gratitude to all the lecturers and staff at Polman Babel for providing the instruction and guidance that brought them to this milestone. "Graduation does not mean a final farewell," he concluded, "and we must ensure that when we meet outside the campus as fellow alumni, we do not treat each other like strangers."
