Polman Negeri Babel Software Engineering Lecturer Serves as Speaker, Promoting Changes in Pemali Village Officials' Work Methods via SIJALI
Ahmat Josi, a lecturer in the Software Engineering Technology (TRPL) program at the Bangka Belitung State Polytechnic, together with students, presented information on the use of SIJALI to officials from Pemali Village.
As digital transformation advances within village government, the need to enhance the competence of village officials in utilizing information technology has become increasingly critical. Consequently, lecturers from the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel)—Ahmat Josi, M.Kom., and Putri Armilia Prayesi, M.Kom.—were invited to serve as resource persons for a training session on the Village Official Performance System (SIJALI), held at the Pemali Village Hall on Wednesday (June 29, 2026).
Speaking on Friday (June 31, 2026), Ahmat Josi explained that the training aimed to improve the understanding and proficiency of Pemali Village officials in operating the SIJALI application. This system supports the digital management and reporting of official performance, thereby making village government administration more effective, efficient, transparent, and accountable.
Josi noted that Polman Babel is committed to fulfilling the "Tri Dharma" (Three Pillars) of Higher Education by delivering benefits to the community and external stakeholders, including through support for digital transformation within village government.
"Do not be afraid to take action for the benefit of others while we are able; as lecturers, we must remain enthusiastic about contributing, even when facing various obstacles in the process," she added.
Meanwhile, Putri Armilia Prayesi, a lecturer at Polman Babel, explained the system's workflow and best practices for operating the SIJALI application. She presented the material in stages to ensure participants could thoroughly understand each step of using the app," she detailed.
Furthermore, the hands-on practice session was guided by Friska Deswinta Sari, a final-year student from Polman Babel’s Applied Bachelor’s Program in Software Engineering Technology (TRPL). During this session, participants conducted live simulations of SIJALI, covering everything from logging in and data entry to utilizing the various features available within the application," she emphasized.
This direct guidance helped participants grasp the application's usage more easily. Additionally, participants were given the opportunity to discuss and raise any issues encountered during the practical session," she concluded.
Moreover, the combination of material presentation, demonstrations, and hands-on practice provided participants with a deeper understanding of the system. It also created a space for knowledge sharing among academics, students, and village government officials to drive the acceleration of digital transformation," she acknowledged.
Separately, when contacted by phone on Saturday (August 1, 2026), Rosmanto Nata—the Village Secretary and Head of Administration for Pemali Village—expressed his support for the assistance provided by Polman Babel lecturers Putri Armilia Prayesi and Ahmat Josi. They have repeatedly assisted the Pemali Village Government in creating digital innovations, thereby helping village officials accelerate digital transformation at the community level. This effort aims to provide the best possible service through a system that integrates attendance and performance reporting features accessible digitally," he stated candidly.
SIJALI is considered instrumental in fostering a new work mindset within the village government; through this application, village governance is expected to become far more organized, accountable, and professional," he said. "Looking ahead, it is hoped that Polman Babel can further develop digital innovations and pioneer adaptive, transparent digital villages focused on improving the quality of public services," he concluded.
