Polman Negeri Babel Invites SMA Negeri 1 Pemali Students to Learn About the World of Electrical Engineering and Future Energy
The Department of Electrical Engineering and Agricultural Industry at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) held an introductory activity to the world of electrical engineering and future energy for students of SMA Negeri 1 Pemali. This activity took place on October 13-14, 2025, and was attended by approximately 30 students.
The activity provided an opportunity for students to directly observe the learning process, laboratory facilities, and technological innovations developed at Polman Babel. The goal was to provide students with a better understanding of the direction and opportunities for study in electrical engineering and the agricultural industry.
In his remarks, the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Agricultural Industry, Zanu Saputra, M.Tr.T., emphasized the importance of fostering curiosity and a passion for learning from an early age. "You must enjoy every aspect of the learning process here." "Enjoy the atmosphere, gain as much knowledge as possible, and make this visit a valuable experience to learn about the world of engineering and the Polman Babel campus," he explained.
Zanu also added that he hopes this kind of visit will foster students' motivation to innovate and think critically about future energy challenges.
"Take the knowledge and insights gained from this activity as provisions for your future," he concluded.

"What's even more interesting is that during the activity, the students were divided into three groups to participate in an introduction to the Digital Electronics, Microcontroller, and Analog Labs. Each group had the opportunity to directly practice and understand the tools and technology used by Polman Babel students in their learning process," he explained.
Furthermore, this group division allowed students not only to learn theory but also to experience a hands-on learning environment by testing simple electronic circuits and asking numerous questions to the lecturers and student mentors," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Riki Lestari, S.Pd., a guidance and counseling teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Pemali, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome. "Our students gained many new insights into the world of engineering and study opportunities at vocational colleges," he acknowledged.
Lestari also stated that most of the students participating in the visit were interested in engineering, particularly electronics and energy.
"Before coming here, we had already collected student interests, and it turned out that quite a number of them planned to continue their studies at Polman Babel after graduation," he said.
