Lecturers from the Bangka Belitung Islands State Polytechnic's TRPL Monitor Internship Students at the Bangka Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda)
The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) continues to support the implementation of the Independent Learning and Independent Campus (MBKM) program. One way this is done is through monitoring student internships conducted by the Software Engineering Technology (TRPL) Study Program.
On Friday (September 12, 2025), lecturers from the Polman Babel TRPL visited the Bangka Regency Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) Office. The visit aimed to directly monitor the activities and progress of students undergoing internships.
The group of Polman Babel lecturers was warmly welcomed by a representative from the Bangka Regency Bappeda Office, Dr. Darul Arkum. The meeting provided an open discussion about the students' experiences during their internships in government institutions.
Head of Sidhiq Andriyanto, M.Kom., Head of the Software Engineering Technology Study Program, explained that this monitoring is crucial to ensure students truly gain experience aligned with the objectives of the MBKM program. "We want to identify any obstacles in the field, whether related to assignments, ethics, or discipline," he said.
Furthermore, Sidhiq emphasized that internship students must maintain a professional attitude.
"Discipline, responsibility, and academic ethics must always be upheld. Any problems, whether minor or major, must be resolved promptly and effectively so that this internship experience is truly beneficial," he added.
Meanwhile, Dr. Darul Arkum conveyed that Polman Babel students interning at the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) must maintain integrity in carrying out their assigned work. "Even if minor issues sometimes arise, we continue to provide guidance so they can develop further," he said.
Darul explained that the Bangka Bappeda will continue to provide guidance and direction so that interns can adapt to the working world.
"We hope that upon returning to campus, they will have gained practical experience that will strengthen their competencies upon completing their studies at Polman Babel," he explained.
Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude for the visit of Polman Babel lecturers to participate in the evaluation of the collaboration between Polman Babel and the Bangka Regency Bappeda. He expressed his hope that the relationship will continue in the next period, allowing Polman Babel students to continue to have the opportunity to learn directly from government agencies," he concluded.
