PROFILE

The Center for Research and Community Service at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic was established in 2001. Initially this unit was called the Research and Engineering Center (PPR), but since 2010 as the organization and management of the Tin Manufacturing Polytechnic changed to the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic, this organization changed into a Research and Community Service Center (P3KM) in accordance with the decision of the Minister of National Education No. 25 dated 18 October 2010. As one of the organizational work units, P3KM has the duties to: (1) formulate work programs (2) formulate, coordinate, foster and publish research and engineering activities to increase the relevance of education and produce superior products in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and (3) be responsible for all research and service activities in the work environment.

VISION

The realization of superior research and community service to support the nation's competitiveness in order to support the vision and mission of Polmanbabel.

MISSION

1. Manage the implementation of scientific research activities in the field of science and technology that can support regional and national development;
2. Manage the implementation of community service activities that can help overcome community problems and encourage regional and national economic growth in accordance with the superior fields owned by Polmanbabel;
3. Disseminate research results in the form of products, publications, intellectual property rights, patents, textbooks or other programs that are beneficial to the community at regional and national levels;
4. Collaborating on research and community service with other universities, local governments and industry;
5. Organizing governance in the field of research and community service.

PURPOSE

Based on the Vision and Mission, P3KM Polmanbabel sets the following goals to be achieved.

1. Organizing research activities that can support regional and national development;
2. Organizing community service activities that can help overcome community problems and encourage regional and national economic growth;
3. The realization of the dissemination of research results in the form of products, publications, intellectual property rights, patents, textbooks or other programs that are beneficial to the community at regional and national levels;
4. The realization of research collaborations and community service with other universities, regional and central governments, and industry;
5. The realization of good governance in the field of research and community service.

FUNCTION

The Center for Research and Community Service Polmanbabel carries out the following functions:

1. Preparation of plans, programs, and budgets at the Center for Research and Community Service;
2. Management of the implementation of research for the development of education, home industry and industry through collaboration between universities, industry and/or other bodies both regionally and nationally;
3. Management of the implementation of community service for increasing knowledge and skills in the form of training and providing assistance for TTG products in order to encourage increased community production as institutional partners;
4. Management of publications and intellectual property of research results and community service;
5. Increasing the relevance of research and community service programs in accordance with community needs;
6. Implementation of research quality assurance and community service; and
7. Implementation of administrative governance of research centers and Community Service.
