PROFILE

Utilization of Information Technology and Systems at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Pollman Babel) has been carried out since the establishment of this Polytechnic in 1994, which was previously known as the Tin Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Timah). Since then, the information technology facilities and infrastructure used are facilities provided by PT. Tin. All matters relating to the development of technology infrastructure and information systems are regulated by PT. Timah.

Along with the development of this higher education institution, several developments in the area of ​​information systems are the development of the website www.polman-timah.ac.id which is equipped with e-mail facilities and several academic information system facilities.

Since the issuance of the regulation of the minister of national education number 25 of 2010, Polman Timah has changed its status from a private university to a state university, hereinafter referred to as Polman Babel. Based on the Ministerial regulation, it is precisely stated in article 38 which states that the UPT. Information systems have the task of developing information systems for the purposes of education, research and community service.
