Babel State Polman Commemorates 79th Indonesian Independence Day, Director Invites Academic Community to Realize Independence Through Real Action
In commemoration of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) held a solemn flag ceremony on Saturday, August 17 2024, in the Campus Hall Building.
The entire Polman Babel academic community, including lecturers and education staff, attended this ceremony with high enthusiasm. Their enthusiasm can be seen from the number of attendance which exceeds 100% of the total academic community, reflecting the spirit of nationalism that is still strong within the campus environment.

In his speech, the Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of remembering the services of the heroes who fought for independence. "This independence is not just to be celebrated, but must be realized in the form of real achievements and contributions to the nation," said I Made Andik.
He also invited all Polman Babel employees to continue to strive to give their best to face various challenges such as the Public Service Agency, International Excellence Accreditation, New Campus, Professors, and WTP.

Furthermore, I Made Andik hopes that this spirit of independence can become a foundation for the entire academic community to continue working, innovating and contributing to nation building. "I hope that this spirit of independence will be a motivation for all of us to continue to work hard and create new innovations," he added.
This ceremony also aims to strengthen the sense of nationalism and love for the country among students and the entire academic community because this event is designed to raise the national spirit, especially among all Polman Babel employees who must remain enthusiastic.

"Hopefully this ceremony will be a reminder for all of us that the struggle is not over, and we have a responsibility to continue to maintain and strengthen this independence," said I Made Andik in his interview after the ceremony was over.
Thus, this ceremony is not just a commemoration of Independence Day, but also a moment of reflection to continue to fill independence with positive achievements and contributions for oneself, the campus and the wider community," he concluded.
