Ranked 1st on Webometrics, Polman Negeri Babel Outperforms Other Campuses in Babel
The 2026 Webometrics achievement brought the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic to the top position of universities in Bangka Belitung.
The State Manufacturing Polytechnic of Bangka Belitung (Polman Babel) once again achieved a proud achievement by achieving first place in the Webometrics category for universities in Bangka Belitung on Friday (February 6, 2026).
This achievement demonstrates Polman Babel's commitment to developing a digital campus ecosystem that is informative, transparent, and easily accessible to the wider community, especially prospective students and industry partners.
In this ranking, Polman Babel outperformed several other universities in Bangka Belitung, including the University of Bangka Belitung (UBB), Muhammadiyah University of Bangka Belitung (UNMUH Babel), and Citra Delima Bangka Belitung Health College.
Polman Babel Director, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., when contacted, stated that the Webometrics category plays a strategic role in the current era, considering that almost all aspects of educational services have transformed towards digitalization. Webometrics is crucial in today's digital world. "The campus website is the main face of the institution in conveying academic information, research, and community service," he explained.
