Testing Their Entrepreneurial Skills, Students from the Bangka Belitung State Polytechnic Market Products in the Sungailiat Protected Forest
Honing entrepreneurial skills requires more than just classroom learning. Students from the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic engaged in a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) initiative for their Entrepreneurship course by marketing and selling various student-created products in the Sungailiat Protected Forest area, from October 31 to November 1, 2026.
The activity was supervised by the Entrepreneurship course instructors, Nur Khasanah, S.P., M.Si., and Laily Muharani, S.P., M.Si., enabling students to directly apply the entrepreneurial knowledge and skills acquired during their coursework to real-world business practices.
When met on Monday (November 2, 2026), instructor Nur Khasanah, S.P., M.Si., explained that conducting sales in a public space serves as a learning experience designed to foster students' creativity, innovation, communication skills, and marketing strategies, while also building the confidence to interact directly with consumers.

In addition, the students market and sell various products that they have prepared themselves—covering everything from product preparation, booth setup, and promotion to customer service, sales transactions, and the final evaluation of their business outcomes.
" Students must learn to understand consumer behavior, determine appropriate promotional strategies, and navigate the various challenges of running a business, so that they can apply these skills in real-world business situations," she added.
Meanwhile, another instructor, Laily Muharani, S.P., M.Si., explained that conducting an entrepreneurship project outside the campus environment is intended to provide experiential learning. Rather than focusing solely on the theoretical concepts of entrepreneurship, students gain direct, hands-on experience in managing and marketing products to the public.
"I hope that the students' entrepreneurial spirit will continue to grow, their sense of independence will strengthen, and they will develop the ability to identify business opportunities, create products with high economic value, and effectively face business challenges after completing their education," Laily stated.
