An Important Message from the Director of Polman Negeri Babel to 313 Graduates of the 29th Graduation Ceremony
The State Manufacturing Polytechnic of Bangka Belitung (Polman Babel) held its 29th Open Senate Graduation Session in the Campus Hall on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. The event was a joyous occasion, attended by the leadership, lecturers, invited guests, and families of the graduates.
At this graduation ceremony, Polman Babel graduated 313 students from various study programs. These included 57 Diploma III students in Machine Maintenance and Repair Engineering, 49 Diploma III students in Mechanical Design Engineering, 59 Diploma III students in Electronic Engineering, 45 Bachelor of Applied Electronic Engineering, 53 Bachelor of Applied Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, and 50 Bachelor of Applied Software Engineering Technology students.
The graduation ceremony was led by the Chair of the Polman Babel Senate, Dr. Sukanto, M.Eng. He opened the session with a gavel, marking the official start of the ceremony. The atmosphere was even more heartwarming with joy as the graduates were called one by one to be inaugurated.
In his remarks, the Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., emphasized that the graduates are the next generation, expected to bring benefits to their families, the nation, and society.
I Made added that the education received at Polman Babel is not just academic, but also character-building. He hopes the graduates will demonstrate a strong work ethic and continue to contribute to regional development.
"Congratulations to the graduates. Be useful individuals and uphold the value of integrity," he concluded.
The presence of invited guests from the industrial world added to the specialness of the graduation ceremony. Deasy Dwi Saputra (Dede), a representative of PT Gunung Maras Lestari, expressed his appreciation to Polman Babel for consistently producing work-ready human resources.
In his remarks, Dede advised the graduates not to forget their alma mater even after pursuing careers abroad.
"This journey is the result of a collaborative effort with your parents. When you enter the industrial world, demonstrate the skills and potential you have developed during your studies at Polman Babel," Dede said.
At the closing ceremony, an atmosphere of emotion and pride enveloped the event as the graduates smiled at their families in attendance. Loud applause accompanied the graduation ceremony. Many parents were seen shedding tears of joy as their sons and daughters officially received their academic degrees.
