Polman Negeri Babel and INTACT Base Hold TOEIC Coaching Clinic in Preparation for 2025 Taiwan Scholarship
The State Manufacturing Polytechnic of Bangka Belitung (Polman Babel) in collaboration with INTACT Base Babel held a briefing activity through the TOEIC Test Preparation Coaching Clinic for students who wish to continue their studies abroad through the INTENSE Taiwan 2025 scholarship program.
This activity took place on Friday (02/05) in the Polmanbabel Presentation Room, and became an initial preparation event for INTENSE scholarship program participants from Bangka Belitung before actually pursuing international education in Taiwan.
More than 20 participants from various universities in Bangka Belitung took part in this activity, including from Polman Babel, Bangka Belitung University (UBB), and Pertiba University. The participants looked enthusiastic in following each session presented.

The main material in this briefing focused on English language proficiency, as an absolute requirement for students who will study abroad. This material was delivered by Shanty Dwi Krishnaningsih, M.Hum., who is also known as an experienced English lecturer in preparing Polmanbabel students to participate in the 2022-2024 IISMA activities.
“English is the main key to adapting to a foreign education system. Not only in terms of academics, but also in everyday life there,” said Shanty in her presentation.
She also added that good English skills will open up many opportunities, ranging from scholarships, international relations, to global careers. Shanty hopes that participants can seriously study the material and continue to practice consistently.
“Hopefully, participants can immediately understand the material we presented today. Don't be afraid to try, because that ability will grow along with the learning process,” added Shanty. In the coaching clinic activity, Shanty also demonstrated tips and tricks for dealing with TOEIC test questions to the participants who attended.

Meanwhile, Ir. Dedy Ramdhani Harahap, S.S.T., M.Sc. (Eng), as Advisory Consultant INTACT Base Babel who is also an active lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (JRM) Polmanbabel also provided motivation and direction to the participants who attended. He conveyed the importance of having a strong vision and spirit when preparing to study abroad, one of which is communication skills using English.
"INTACT Base Taiwan is here not only as an administrative assistant, but also provides assistance in terms of mental and academic readiness," said Dedy.
He also emphasized that the opportunity to study abroad is very wide open. However, the key to success lies in the efforts and readiness of participants in following the existing process.
"I advise, if you succeed and get the opportunity to study abroad, make the most of it. Bring a good name to yourself, your campus, and your region," concluded Dedy.
All participants of the INTENSE Taiwan scholarship program who attended the event will take the TOEIC test by ITC International, the implementation of which is facilitated by UPA Bahasa Polmanbabel thanks to the collaboration between Polmanbabel and ITC International as the official organizer in Indonesia.
"Hopefully, participants who will take the TOEIC test on May 9 and 16 can get a minimum score of 550 in order to pass the requirements of the INTENSE Taiwan scholarship program, where all tuition fees, visas, passports, MCU, and plane tickets are all covered by the MoE, campus, and Taiwanese industry." concluded Dedy.
