Studying at Polman Negeri Babel, SOSPRO Team Helps South Bangka Students Find Answers
The Babel State Police SOSPRO team took a photo with the students of SMK Negeri 1 Tukak Sadai and the teachers after the socialization and education promotion session.
The Socialization and Promotion Team (SOSPRO) of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) visited South Bangka Regency on Wednesday (19/02/2025).
During this visit, the SOSPRO team visited three schools, namely SMA Negeri 1 Toboali, SMK Negeri 1 Toboali, and SMK Negeri 1 Tukak Sadai.
The SOSPRO Polman Babel Team group consisted of Herwadi, Ph.D., Ahmad Josi, M.Kom., Aan Febriansyah, M.T., and Hadi Firmansyah, S.I.Kom.
They were here to introduce Polman Babel and its various superior programs to class XII students who were preparing to continue their education to a higher level.
At SMK Negeri 1 Tukak Sadai, the socialization event was attended by around 140 class XII students who gathered in the school hall.
Their enthusiasm was visible from the start of the event, where they listened carefully to the explanation from the Polman Babel team regarding educational and career opportunities in the world of manufacturing.
In his presentation, Herwadi, Ph.D., explained that the main aim of this socialization was to provide students with insight into vocational education, especially in the manufacturing sector.
"He emphasized that Polman Babel is committed to producing graduates who are ready to work and have high competence in industry," he said.
"We want to broaden the minds of all young people about the importance of skills-based vocational education. Polman Babel is here to answer industry needs by providing educational programs that are applicable and in line with the latest technological developments," said Herwadi.
"In line with Herwadi, Ahmad Josi, M.Kom., added that this activity is a form of Polman Babel's commitment to attracting talented prospective students from all over Bangka Belitung," he said.
He also explained the various superior study programs offered, as well as scholarship opportunities for outstanding students.
"We not only provide quality education, but also open opportunities for the best students to get scholarships and full support while studying at Polman Babel," said Ahmad Josi.
One of the students, Siska from the Shipping department at SMK Negeri 1 Tukak Sadai, expressed her question regarding other superior programs offered by Polman Babel.
This question was immediately greeted with an explanation of industrial internship programs, collaboration with large companies, as well as various technological innovations developed by the campus.
This socialization activity was closed by the Counseling Guidance (BK) teacher at SMK Negeri 1 Tukak Sadai, Septi, who expressed his appreciation for the visit of the Polman Babel SOSPRO Team. "He hopes that this activity can help students determine their educational choices after graduating," he said.
"We are very grateful to Polman Babel for taking the time to come and share valuable information with our students. Hopefully this collaboration can continue in the future," said Septi.
