Polman Negeri Babel Sends Four Student Delegates to the 2025 CAD CAM Competition
Four students of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) were officially appointed as campus delegates in the prestigious National CAD CAM Competition (NCC) 2025 held by the Indramayu State Polytechnic.
As a warm-up for the preliminary round which will take place on June 11-12, 2025, the Polman Babel delegates attended a technical meeting and short online training today, Tuesday (10/06/2025). This activity is the first step to ensure the technical and mental readiness of the participants.
The four students competed in three different categories
The CAD 2D Drafting competition category, Dimas Andriansyah (TRPM Study Program) and Muhammad Nur Huda (PcM Study Program) while the CAD 3D Modeling competition category Deni (PcM Study Program) and the CAD Mechanical Animation competition category Prabowo Agung Pribadi (TMM Study Program)
They did not walk alone. The three were accompanied by experienced mentors from among the lecturers, Muhammad Haritsah Amrullah, M.Eng., and Muhammad Yunus, M.T., as well as Ilham Akbar, A.Md. from PLP, who continued to provide technical guidance, strategies, and encouragement during the preparation period.
Muhammad Haritsah Amrullah said that the involvement of students in this competition is not only about technical skills, but also part of the character building process.
"This event is a place to measure students' CADCAM skills with relevant software, while also training sportsmanship, time management, and competitive mentality. All of these are important provisions for facing the world of work later," he said.
He emphasized that the participants had been provided with intensive training and simulations that were close to competition conditions.
"For us, this is not just about winning or losing, but how they can apply knowledge into real practice and continue to develop," he added.
Furthermore, Haritah highlighted the importance of competitive experience for vocational students.
"CAD skills are one of the key competencies in the manufacturing industry today. I believe they are able to compete and bring a good name to Polman Babel," concluded Haritsah.
