A team of lecturers from the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic continues to intensify campus outreach and promotion efforts, targeting several vocational high schools in Bangka to introduce the campus to final-year students on Tuesday (April 21, 2026).
The Socialization and Promotion (Sospro) team includes Muhammad Syafrizal, M.Kom., Vivin Mahat Putri, M.Eng., Laras Niti Mulyani, M.T.I., Laily Muharani, M.Sc., Limartaida Siahaan, M.Sc., and Ali Rizki Maulana, M.Pi.
The visit was conducted directly by three schools: SMK Negeri 1 Kelapa, SMK Negeri 1 Bakam, and SMK Negeri 1 Mendo Barat. The visit aimed to provide presentations on the study programs at Polman Babel: Applied Bachelor of Multimedia Engineering Technology, Digital Banking and Finance, Precision Agriculture, Crop Production Technology, and Fisheries Cultivation Technology.

When contacted again on Thursday (April 23, 2026), one of the lecturers, Laras Niti Mulyani, stated that the event went smoothly and received a positive response from both students and the school. She considered the event effective in broadening students' horizons about the Polman Babel campus, particularly regarding the practice-based curriculum and job opportunities after graduation.
He continued, explaining that by directly observing the students' interest, the alignment between the study programs at Polman Babel and the skills they were learning at vocational high schools (SMK) became increasingly clear.
"The approach used in the outreach program continues to be developed to be more effective, featuring methods and simulations of lecture activities, alumni profiles, and even company internships," he said.
Meanwhile, Suardi, Deputy Head of Student Affairs at SMK Negeri 1 Kelapa, welcomed the activity, saying that SMK and Polman Babel share a similar approach to practice-based learning in the fields of visual communication design and plantations.
Meanwhile, Desy Mauliana, Deputy Head of Public Relations at SMK Negeri 1 Mendo Barat, expressed her hope for continued collaboration in the agricultural sector to provide additional learning for teachers and students, as SMK Negeri 1 Mendo Barat is one of the agriculture-based vocational high schools in Bangka Belitung.
