Babel State Polman Team Wins 3rd Place in the 2024 DIGICOM Competition, Showing Innovation in the UI/UX Field
Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) students have once again made a proud achievement. In the Digital Business Competition (DIGICOM) event held by Bangka Belitung University on 3-13 September 2024, the team from Polman Babel won 3rd place in the Application UI/UX Design category.
Carrying the theme Towards a Smart and Innovative Digital Future, this competition was attended by universities and polytechnics from various regions. The Polman Babel team, consisting of Raihan Adi Pratama, Monika, and Abang Audric, appeared impressive with the innovative application they developed, even though this was their first time taking part in a competition in this field.
Monika, one of the team members, expressed her pride. "This is my first experience participating in a UI/UX competition, and I am very grateful to be able to win. I have learned many new things, especially in understanding user needs," he said.
In line with Monika, Brother Audric was also satisfied with the results they achieved. "Even though this is our first time participating, the challenges in this competition really tested the team's creativity and collaboration. This victory is very encouraging, but the most important thing is the valuable experience we gained," he said.
Raihan Adi Pratama added that the project they developed also provided new insights.
"We even conducted research on animal health for our application, which enriched our understanding of design from a user's perspective. This win was truly unexpected," he said.
The team's supervisor, Riki Afriansyah, M.T. gives high appreciation for the achievements of the students under his guidance. "I am very proud of their achievements. This is proof of their hard work, creativity and perseverance. Hopefully this achievement will be a motivation to continue to innovate in the future," he said.
"The DIGICOM 2024 event is expected to be a means for Polman Babel students to further hone their skills in the digital field and be ready to face the challenges of an ever-growing industry," stressed Riki.
