Babel State Polman, Holds the 4rd Annual National Seminar on Applied Technology Innovation (SNITT).
Polman Babel - The increasingly advanced technology in the current era has quite a significant impact, one of which leads to increasingly tight competition in the world of work. Now the world of work, especially in the engineering field, not only requires people who are smart in academic matters, but also interpersonal skills, especially for those who want to enter industrial companies.
Seeing this, the Diploma III and Diploma IV Applied Bachelor's Degree Study Program (Prodi) at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic is holding the 3rd National Seminar on Applied Technology Innovation (SNITT) today, with the theme "The Role of Technology in the Post-Tin Development of Bangka Island" , Tuesday (25/06/2024).

This event was held in the Polman Babel hall building which presented speakers who were quite professional in their fields. Participants who attended the seminar were lecturers and students. by attending the Acting Special Staff resource person. Governor of Bangka Belitung, Prof. Dr. Bustami Rahman., M.Sc. along with a lecturer from the mechanical engineering department, Ir. Dedy Ramdahani., M.Sc, (Eng) and lecturer in the electronics engineering department, Indra Dwi Saputra., M.T. Apart from that, this seminar is especially useful for students to carry out final project trials.

In his speech, Director of Polman Babel I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D. explained that this seminar refers to the aim of engineering science which expects students to know what is in the field of engineering technology, in the learning process to be able to present brilliant ideas to develop technology which is always developing every year and be able to face technological competition," he said
"I Made also hopes that students who take part in the Applied Technology Innovation Seminar can improve the quality and quantity in the engineering field to apply the knowledge they gain in the world of work later," he explained.

In the seminar, Prof. Dr. Bustami Rahman., M.Sc. regarding how students can explain the application of their techniques in the world of work. Apart from that, the participants were also provided with a number of tips on how to apply their engineering skills. Not only does it present tutorials that are limited to techniques, but the presentation of the material is also given practically according to the participants' needs. "Some of the material provided in this seminar includes many things you need to know in technology, apart from the world of engineering, there is also a lot of mining, fisheries and agricultural technology," he said.
"He also explained that as students we must have creative skills, so we can update ourselves, what we lack in order to adapt to the natural environment, because nature is also very interconnected with technology," he added.
"Hopefully in the future, this seminar will be even more optimal because I am happy that Polman Babel students are very enthusiastic, so that participants not only receive the material but can also feel that this technical technology knowledge can be used for themselves and society," he said.
