Polman Negeri Babel Strengthens the Role of Education in the MoU with the Bangka Regency Government
The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) played a role in the signing of a joint agreement between the Bangka Regency Government and three universities at the Graha Maras Building on Wednesday (April 22, 2026).
The Polman Babel campus focuses not only on classroom education but also actively promotes human resource development and community service.
In this collaboration, Polman Babel partners with the University of Bangka Belitung and the Pangkalpinang Ministry of Health Polytechnic of Health, a step taken to strengthen an integrated educational ecosystem that meets regional needs.

The Director of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel), I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., stated that the role of higher education is not limited to producing graduates, but also plays a vital role in building civilization through sustainable education.
Furthermore, contributions to education have long-term, uninterrupted value because dedication to education is a continuous charity whose benefits continue to flow, even after the learning process is complete.
"When we talk about education, we're not just talking about today. The knowledge imparted to students will continue to live, be used, and develop when they enter the workforce, and will be able to benefit their families and communities," he explained.
Furthermore, I Made stated that collaboration with the local government is a step to expand the impact of education, and the jointly developed programs are expected to address community needs.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Bangka, Fery Insani, M.M., specifically highlighted Polman Babel's excellence as a campus with a practice-based learning approach, assessing this as a key strength in producing work-ready graduates.
"Polman Babel has a strong brand. Its graduates are known to be work-ready because practice is more dominant than theory," he said.
He continued, "Going forward, this must be able to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students. He emphasized that skills are key to facing the world of work."
"Don't just be proud of your degree; skills are paramount, and that's where the economy can grow," he emphasized.

Furthermore, the signed agreement must be implemented in sustainable programs, not just a formality. The active role of universities is considered crucial in supporting the community's economic growth.
