Monitoring Internship Students, Polman Negeri Babel Visits PT Telkom Ethics and Performance in the Spotlight
The Internship Commission Team of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) carried out monitoring activities for intern students at PT Telkom Pangkalpinang Branch, Tuesday (22/04/2025). This visit is part of a routine evaluation to ensure the quality and comfort of students during industrial practice.
The team that attended this visit was led directly by the Chairperson of the Polman Babel Internship Commission, Zanu Saputra, M.Tr.T., accompanied by the Head of the Applied Undergraduate Study Program (D-IV) Software Engineering (TRPL), Sidhiq Andriyanto, M.Kom., and representatives from the Public Relations Team.
Their arrival was warmly welcomed by Roby and the management of PT Telkom Pangkalpinang. This moment is a means of friendship as well as reflection on the performance of students who are undergoing an internship at the national telecommunications company.
In his statement, Zanu Saputra said that this monitoring activity aims to directly monitor the learning process of students in the industrial world, as well as hear input from the company regarding the performance of Polman Babel students.
"We want to ensure that students get the best experience and learning that is relevant to the world of work," said Zanu.
He also advised students to maintain the good name of the campus, demonstrate professional ethics, and absorb as much knowledge as possible from the internship.
"Internships are not just academic obligations, but also a golden opportunity to shape character and work readiness," he added.
Meanwhile, Sidhiq Andriyanto also expressed his appreciation for PT Telkom which has provided a learning space for TRPL students. "We are very helped by this good cooperation. Our students can be directly involved in real projects and gain extraordinary technical experience," he added.
Sidhiq also hopes that the partnership between Polman Babel and PT Telkom can continue to be strengthened.
"In the future, we want to expand cooperation, not only in terms of internships, but also joint research and technology development," he said.
From Telkom, Roby assessed that Polman Babel students have shown a good work attitude, discipline, and have a high understanding of the tasks given. "They learn quickly and are able to adapt to the work environment. This is an added value that we really appreciate," he explained.
Roby also said that students who intern at PT Telkom gain a lot of practical and technical insights that will be very useful after graduating.
"We are opening opportunities for those who show superior performance to be able to join further after graduating," he said.
With the implementation of this visit, it is hoped that the synergy between the world of vocational education and the world of industry will be closer to produce graduates who are not only intelligent in theory, but also superior in real work practices," he concluded.
