Polman Negeri Babel Alumni Give Entrepreneurial Tips to Students, Determine Your Business, Go Through the Process
The Joint Lecture Building of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) looked more lively on Wednesday (16/4/2025), when 60 students of the Diploma III Mechanical Design Engineering (TPcM) Study Program attended a general lecture on Entrepreneurship.
The enthusiasm and curiosity were clearly visible on the faces of the students who sat neatly listening to the material from a special resource person.

This Entrepreneurship course presented Rizkika Fadhila, Head of the IT & Creative Division of PERSIKINDO (Persatuan Srikandi Kreatif Indonesia), who is also an alumnus of Polman Babel class of 2018. With her experience building a business from scratch, Rizkika is here to share the true story of the struggle to pioneer a business amidst various challenges.
"Becoming an entrepreneur is not about the results, but about the process," said Rizkika opening her material session.
He emphasized that the key to success in entrepreneurship is the courage to start and perseverance in undergoing the process, not merely pursuing instant results," he added.
Rizkika also motivated students to dare to determine a business field that suits their passion.
"The most important initial step is to determine the type of business to be pioneered, then conduct a market survey. Don't just go for it," he explained.
Not only talking about theory, Rizkika also shared the story of her ups and downs in the business world. For her, failure is part of the journey.
"What's important is the spirit to rise and learn from the failure itself," she said while motivating students not to be afraid to try.

Zaldy Sirwansyah Suzen, M.T., as the lecturer in charge of the Entrepreneurship course, said that this lecture is an initial bridge for students to open their insights into the business world," he said.
He hopes that the material presented can encourage students to not only think as technicians, but also as prospective entrepreneurs.
"Polman Babel students have great potential to become entrepreneurs since they were in college. Activities like this equip them with a real picture and the enthusiasm needed," said.

During the session, several students actively asked questions, and some even conveyed business ideas that they wanted to develop. Positive energy filled the room, as if depicting the optimism of the young generation who are ready to be economically independent," he concluded.
This public lecture not only increases insight, but also opens students' eyes that entrepreneurship is a realistic career choice, and can even be done while studying.
This activity is real proof that campus is not only a place to learn theory, but also a place where young entrepreneurs are born who are ready to give new colors to the world of creative and technological industries," said Zaldy.
