Celebration of Lecture Hall with Polman Babel Attended by Ministry of Education and Culture and Technology Officials
Director of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., symbolically handed over pieces of tumpeng rice to Plt. Director of Institutions and Resources for Vocational Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, Muhammad Fajar Subkhan, S.T., M.T., as a sign of gratitude and inauguration of the Polman Babel Joint Lecture Building (GKB).
Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) held a thanksgiving event for the Joint Lecture Building on Thursday (12/09/2024).
This event was attended by campus leaders, lecturers, education staff, students, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).
In his speech, the Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., expressed the hope that this new building would support improving the quality of education on campus. "We hope that this Joint Lecture Building can provide maximum benefits for the entire academic community in the learning process," he said.
This building is equipped with various modern facilities such as interactive classrooms, sophisticated laboratories and discussion rooms, which are designed to support academic, research and learning activities at Polman Babel. "This building is expected to be an effective means of supporting learning and research on campus," added I Made Andik.
Apart from academic activities, this building will also be a center for creative and innovative student activities. With adequate facilities, it is hoped that students can be more active in developing their potential in both academic and non-academic fields.
"We believe this building can be an ideal place to hone students' technical and soft skills," he said.
The construction of this building took around two years and was funded by the central government through the Ministry of Education and Culture. Polman Babel also collaborates with various parties to ensure the quality and safety of buildings according to national standards. This step shows Polman Babel's seriousness in improving better educational facilities for its students.

"We hope that this building will become a center for inspiring innovation," he said.
He also emphasized that we from the Ministry of Education and Culture will always support the development of vocational education facilities in various regions. "We will continue to support the development of vocational education in Bangka Belitung and the Polman Babel campus," he added.
This thanksgiving event was marked by the cutting of tumpeng rice by the Director of Polman Babel and representatives from the Ministry of Education and Culture, followed by a joint prayer led by local ulama. The activity closed with a warm welcome, where the audience expressed their gratitude for this achievement.
With the presence of the Joint Lecture Building, Polman Babel is increasingly optimistic about continuing to achieve achievements at the national and international levels, as well as producing competent graduates who are ready to compete in the world of work and contribute to technological and industrial developments in Indonesia.
