Polman Negeri Babel Supports Basel's Agricultural Sector, Hands Over TTG Machines to BAPELITBANGDA

SELATAN BANGKA_POLMANBABEL. Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel) supports the progress of the agricultural sector in South Bangka through collaboration with the Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Agency (BAPELITBANGDA, South Bangka Regency.
This form of support and cooperation was marked by the handover of Appropriate Technology Machines (TTG) by the Head of the Babel State Police Machine Technical Department, Pristiansyah, M.Eng. to BAPELITBANGDA South Bangka Regency, Tuesday 12 December 2023 at the BAPELITBANGDA Basel meeting building.
Also present at this event was the head of the BAPELITBANGDA office, Ir.Herman,Sp.,M.Eng, agricultural extension worker Yuliani, and also farmer groups and residents of Tanjung Batu who positively welcomed the regional government's steps to collaborate with Polman Babel in supporting the progress of the agricultural sector.
Pristiansyah., M.Eng. said that the TTG Machine handed over by the Polman Negeri Babel was the result of lecturers and students who could use it to overcome the difficulties faced by farmers.
He also explained that the area of rice field farming in South Bangka Tanjung Batu 2 Regency is quite large, approximately 607 hectares and there are also sweet potato plantations, therefore the assistance provided at this time may not be sufficient to meet the needs of all farmers in the Basel area.
However, it is hoped that the agricultural machines that have been handed over will have a positive impact and inspire farmers to develop their businesses.
"We hope that this agricultural machine can have a positive impact and inspire farmers to develop their businesses, even though the assistance provided is not enough to meet all farmers in this region," said Pristiansyah (12/12).
"With the agricultural tools and machines handed over, such as fertilizer spreading machines and sweet potato pulling machines, we hope that farmers can optimize their businesses and produce better harvests," he continued.
The same thing was explained by the Polman Negeri Babel Lecturer Team, Boy Rollastin., M.T. that this assistance can become a community business unit, either through the Farmers' Group (GAPOKTAN) or other groups with the aim being that agricultural equipment is not only used by the local community, but can also provide wider economic benefits.
He Chair of the Applied Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Study Program hopes that this assistance can increase efficiency and effectiveness in agricultural activities and help farmers.
"It is hoped that collaboration between farmers and market players will build positive relationships to encourage local economic growth," he said.
Meanwhile, the head of the office, Ir. Herman, Sp., M.Eng, appreciated the collaboration with the Polman Babel campus in supporting the people of South Bangka, especially rice and sweet potato farmers, in terms of the importance of good governance in maintaining and utilizing the agricultural machines provided.
"This agricultural equipment can be managed by anyone, including communities outside South Bangka Regency, as long as it is within the framework of good business governance and this assistance is not just agricultural machinery, but also hope for sustainable growth in the agricultural sector," said Herman (hms ).
