IT At-Toybah Merawang High School Students Learn Robotics at the Polman Negeri Babel, Friday 11 November 2022
SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel) received a visit from IT At-Toybah Merawang High School, Friday 11 November 2022.
A total of 14 students from tenth and eleventh grades as well as 2 supervisors of SMA At-Toybah carried out field studies to the Polman Negeri Babel to learn Robotics.
Somawardi as the head of the Academic Administration, Student Affairs, Planning and Cooperation Section (BAAKPK) welcomed the arrival of students and teachers who wanted to learn robotics to the Polman Negeri Babel.
He said that IT At - Toybah SMA students were right to go to the Polman Negeri Babel to learn robotics because on campus there was a special student activity about robots, namely Robotics UKM.
In addition, the robotics at Polman Negeri Babel often wins various competitions, and at the Sumatran level, the robotics at Polman Babel is the best so far.
“Every time there is a competition in Sumatra, we are the best about robots, the rival is Polibatam. So, it is very appropriate for students to want to learn from the Polman Negeri Babel about robots,” said Somawardi (11/11).
"Later, students can see the robot workshop directly in the laboratory and be guided by students or laboratory officials there," he added.
According to him, students can also see and tour the Polman Negeri Babel campus to see the learning process and the laboratories on this campus, maybe later the students will have an interest in continuing their education to the Polman Negeri Babel.
"We invite students to visit, study and see the robot facilities at Polman Babel," said Somawardi.
Supervising teacher for IT At-Toybah Merawang High School students, Deni said he would like to thank the Polman Negeri Babel for receiving a visit and learning about robotics.
"This activity is to learn simple robotics so that At-Toyibah students don't miss technology, and Polman Babel is the right place to learn robotics," said Deni.
The teacher, who had studied at the Polman Negeri Babel, hopes that these students have knowledge about robotics and will later be followed up with collaboration between SMA IT At-Toyibah and Polman Negeri Babel.
"We hope that there will be cooperation between the school and Polman Babel so that later simple robotics will be created from students under the guidance of the lecturers from here," hoped Deni.
Deni said that this robotic learning activity is in order to carry out extracurricular activities at school and to be able to participate in robotics competitions, as well as a balance between science and Islamic boarding schools in At-Toyibah.
Meanwhile, the supervisor of the Robotics UKM of the Polman Negeri Babel, Indra Dwisaputra also welcomed the school visit to the Polman Negeri Babel to learn robotics, this will also strengthen the friendship and cooperation between schools and universities.
According to Indra, currently many schools are starting to create robotic clubs along with the development of technology so that several schools have started to come to Polman Babel to study because Polman Babel is the leader of robotics and is at the forefront of Bangka Belitung.
"The robotics club for schools comes to Polman Babel with the aim of meeting and learning," he said.
"We as a university campus certainly open ourselves as much as possible for students who want to collaborate, study together at Polman Babel," he continued.
He hopes that from this visit there will be cooperation so that students can learn more about robots well, lecturers and students will also be willing to share their knowledge in their respective schools.
Previously, the Polman Negeri Babel also held workshops in schools such as MAN 1 Sungailiat, SMAN 1 Pemali and SMAN 1 Sungailiat by sending students to schools to provide materials related to robotics. hms.
