Medal-Winning Students Receive Achievement Allowance from the National Police of Babylon
Two TRPL Students, 2nd Place in UI/UX Design Rafatech 2022 Also Receive Awards
SUNGAILIAT_POLMANBABEL. Three students of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel) who won medals in the XIII Indonesian Polytechnic Porseni championship which was held last July in Banjarmasin received an award from the Polman Babel in the form of an achievement allowance.
The award was handed over directly by the Director of the Polman Babel, who was accompanied by the deputy directors, the head of the contingent, coaches, coaches, and athletes in the presentation room of the Polman Babel, Thursday 11 August 2022.
The three recipients of the achievement allowance are Afifiah Nurhasanah, who won two gold medals in rock climbing in the women's individual speed category and women's individual lead, and also won the overall champion in this sport.
Furthermore, to students of mechanical engineering and manufacturing study programs, Abde Fattahwa won one bronze medal in the karate category in the kumite class under 84 kg, and Fadel Ramiro as the winner of two bronze medals in the athletics category of 100 meters and 200 meters.
I Made Andik Setiawan as Director of the Polman Babel said the submission of this achievement allowance was a form of appreciation from the Polman Babel for outstanding students in the championship that brought the good name of this vocational college alma mater.
"This is a form of our gratitude, and we are proud of the athletes who have made it this far, even though Polman Babel only sent a small team in the Porseni championship last July, but it can also bring achievements," said Made in his speech, Thursday (11/08/2022).
"The most important thing is that there were no negative reports during yesterday's match," he added.
Made also gives motivation to athletes who have not won, keep the spirit and continue to fight, appreciation is given to those who have fought maximally without giving up, are sporty when competing.
"Everyone has tried their best, whether they win or lose, get a medal or not, we are proud of the brothers and sisters who have brought the name of this polytechnic," said Made.
"Hopefully in the future, don't give up on participating in other championships, keep the spirit because this is part of the experience for the younger siblings, keep practicing and competing to measure your own abilities," he added.
The same thing was conveyed by Deputy Director III for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Eko Sulistyo, who expressed his deepest appreciation and gratitude to the athletes who have fought and brought medals in three sports.
According to him, the Polman Babel got very satisfactory results, of the 50 polytechnics that participated in Porseni, Polman Babel occupied the eighteenth position with the acquisition of 2 gold and 3 bronze.
"This is a satisfying result for us because we did not expect that two gold medals were presented by one person from the rock climbing branch, which is the highest achievement so far," said Eko.
Eko conveyed that the Polman Babel took part from the seven branches that were contested by sending eleven contingents, the seven branches including rock climbing, sand volleyball, athletics, karate, silat, photography and solo song branches with three branches getting medals.
"Next year these students will be included in other championships, because they are still students at the Polman Babel at the first and second levels," said Eko.
Award to TRPL Students
The Director of the Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D, presented the award to Devid Wijaya and Micco Aureldo, a TRPL student accompanied by their Advisor Riki Afriansyah, Thursday (11/08/2022).
In addition to awards for porcelain athletes, awards were also given to two Polman Negeri Babel students who won second place in the UI/UX Design Rafatech 2022 competition at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang which was held on 18-19 July.
The two students are Devid Wijaya and Micco Aureldo from the Software Engineering Study Program, Department of Electronics and Informatics.
"Congratulations and thank you to the shell team who won second place in the field of information technology," said Eko.
He added that currently Polman Babel sends many students in various competitions and other activities, from the Software Engineering Technology Study Program which also brings a good name by winning the Best Idea award in the National Polytechnic Informatics Student Competition (KMIPN) for the cyber security category in early August.
"Hopefully the achievements achieved by the Polman Negeri Babel students can motivate other students to work," said Eko. (hms/or)
