Following the closure of the PPKMB, the Director of Polman Negeri Babel urged new students that there is no such thing as instant success.
The State Manufacturing Polytechnic of Bangka Belitung (Polman Babel) officially concluded its series of Campus Life Introduction for New Students (PPKMB) activities for the 2025/2026 academic year. The closing ceremony took place in the Polman Babel Hall on Friday (August 8, 2025), and was attended by the Director of Polman Babel and campus leaders.
The emotion and joy were evident on the faces of the new students. After several days of orientation, they were now ready to enter the real world of college. Not only the new students, but the PPKMB committee from the Student Executive Board (BEM) also expressed relief and pride at the success of this activity.
The Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, Ph.D., in his remarks reminded students that college is a crucial phase in a student's life; it is a time when they begin to shape themselves, their character, and their mindset. "Nothing happens instantly," he said.
He emphasized the importance of mental resilience and a fighting spirit in the higher education process. "Don't complain too much, don't resist the process. If our bodies and minds resist challenges, then good results will also resist coming to us," he said.

I Made also emphasized that the Student Orientation Program (PPKMB) at Polman Babel does not involve physical or mental violence. Orientation here is not about seniority, but rather a learning process to understand a new world. Everything must be conducted in a humane and constructive manner.
"Students must be prepared to face the various challenges ahead. Just as a knife becomes sharper and shinier with constant sharpening, so too do your skills. The more you practice, the more prepared you will be to face the world of work," he added.
He encouraged students to develop consistent study habits, not relying on quick results. Success is not magic. There's no magic that will make you successful overnight. Everything requires process, patience, and perseverance.
"Welcome to Polman Babel, get ready to learn, develop, and face the future. Build yourselves starting today," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Polman Babel Student Executive Board (BEM), Yuda, expressed his pride in the enthusiasm of the committee and new students during the PPKMB. He hoped the new students would take away positive values from this activity.
"PPKMB isn't just a formality, but a moment to build enthusiasm, solidarity, and familiarize ourselves with the campus environment. We want new students to feel accepted and not alone," said Yuda.
He also appreciated the hard work of all the committee members involved. "The committee has done their utmost, willingly sacrificing their time and energy to warmly welcome the students. This isn't the end, but the beginning of a long journey together," he concluded.
