Babylon State Polman NeoTech Team, Passes Samsung Innovation Campus 2025 Selection
Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) students from the Software Engineering Study Program (TRPL) demonstrated their best abilities in the Samsung Innovation Campus event.
Samsung Innovation Campus is a global Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education program for young people and develops young people's talents with problem-solving skills, providing them with the core skills they need to thrive in the future.
This prestigious competition was held online and took place from January 6 to May 26 2025, attended by 437 teams who successfully qualified from a total of 5,000 registered teams.
The NeoTech Polman Babel team, consisting of Agung Sopian, Monika, Fateh Tikal Zamzami, and Pramudya Zulmi Al Farizy, successfully advanced to the next selection round. This achievement confirms their commitment to facing the challenges of technology-based competition that tests innovation and creativity.
When met, Thursday (09/01/2024) one of the student teams, Agung Sopian, said that this competition was divided into four challenging stages, namely Stage 1 Coding & Software Prototyping, Stage 2 Hardware Prototyping, Stage 3 Software & Hardware Integration, and Stage 4 Testing & Final Product. "To be able to enter the next stage, we have to complete Stage 3. In the final stage, only the team with the best results will be selected," he said.
Agung added that the NeoTech team remains optimistic and tries to provide the best. "We will fight as hard as possible, if possible, to become champions. This is a great opportunity to prove our abilities," he said.
Not only that, Agung hopes that his team's success can inspire other students. Hopefully other fellow students will also be motivated to take part in competitions like this in the future. "Never give up," said Agung.
The NeoTech Team supervisor, Riki Afriansyah, M.T., also appreciated the achievements of his students. I feel proud that they have made it this far. "This competition is very interesting because it hones their skills in various aspects of technology," he said.
Riki also expressed his hope that this team would be able to achieve the best results at the end of the competition. "Hopefully NeoTech can give Polman Babel pride and be a motivation for other students," he added.
"With enthusiasm and hard work, the NeoTech Team continues to struggle to bring Polman Babel's good name to the national stage. Support from the campus and fellow students is a very meaningful moral boost for them," he said.
The Samsung Innovation Campus competition is not only a place to demonstrate skills, but also a learning platform for the younger generation in developing technological innovations for the future.
"Will the NeoTech Team succeed in winning? We are waiting for their best results at the end of this competition and the most important thing is experience, because with experience we learn to evaluate ourselves to be better," stressed Riki.
