Babel State Polman Holds XXVIII Graduation Ceremony, 265 Graduates Ready to Step into the World of Work
The Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) made another achievement by producing 265 quality graduates at the XXVIII Graduation Ceremony which was held on Wednesday (25/09/2024). These graduates come from various study programs, both Diploma III and Applied Bachelor levels, ready to pursue careers with high optimism.
The event, which took place in the Polman Babel Campus Hall, was attended by senate officials, lecturers, education staff, representatives of government agencies, industry partners, and parents of graduates. This moment is a witness to the students' long journey in pursuing an education that is full of challenges.
The Mechanical Maintenance and Repair Engineering Study Program (TPPM) graduated 49 students, followed by Mechanical Design Engineering (TPcM) with 57 graduates, and Electronics Engineering (TE) with 53 Diploma III graduates. Meanwhile, at the Applied Bachelor level, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (TMM) graduated 48 students, Electronics Engineering 29 students, and Software Engineering Engineering (TRPL) 29 students.
The Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., in his speech congratulated the graduates. "Today you officially hold the titles of Associate Expert and Applied Bachelor. We hope that the knowledge you gain can be useful for yourself, society and the nation," he said.
He also emphasized the importance of adaptation in an increasingly dynamic world of work. "Polman Babel graduates must be ready to compete not only at the national level but also globally," he stressed.
Proud achievements were also expressed at this graduation, with 22 graduates having been accepted to work in various large companies before officially graduating. In addition, five graduates managed to get scholarships to continue their undergraduate studies to Taiwan, proving the international competitiveness of Polman Babel graduates. "This is proof that Polman Babel is able to produce graduates who excel on the global stage," said I Made proudly.
The event was also enlivened by giving awards to outstanding graduates with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) and students with the best discipline in each study program. This award is a form of campus appreciation for the academic achievements and character of graduates.

One of the graduates, Naufal Anggara, expressed his gratitude. "The knowledge I gained at Polman Babel is very useful and will be a big asset in my future career," he said with emotion.
Jasmin, one of the graduates' parents, also expressed her pride. "We are very proud to see our child graduate from Polman Babel. Hopefully the knowledge he has gained will be a provision for his future," he said.
"With the enthusiasm and skills that have been provided during their education, Polman Babel graduates are expected to be able to contribute positively to the world of work and become future leaders with integrity," he concluded.
