I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., Strengthens Babel State Polman Education Strategy with Inauguration of New Unit Head
I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., conveyed strategic direction to the new unit head of Polman Babel, with a focus on human resource development and innovation, this inauguration is the first step to strengthen the campus' reputation as a leading educational institution that makes a real contribution to society and industry.
Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) successfully held an inauguration ceremony for the new unit head on Friday (30/08/2024). The event which took place in the campus hall was attended by all lecturers, academics and educational staff, making it a strategic moment to strengthen Polman Babel's commitment to improving the quality of education and academic services.
A total of 23 employees appointed consisted of competent lecturers and staff who were selected through a strict selection process. This selection considers various factors, including professional expertise, work experience, and significant contributions to institutional development.
The officials appointed include department heads, department secretaries, study program heads, and heads of support units. With this new leadership structure, Polman Babel is optimistic that it can strengthen academic and administrative governance, ensuring readiness to face global challenges in the field of higher education.

Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, M.Eng., Ph.D., in his inspirational speech, expressed his appreciation to the new unit heads for the big responsibility they carry in efforts to advance the campus' vision and mission.
"I believe, with the experience and dedication of the new unit heads, Polman Babel will be able to face the dynamics of global change and continue to develop into a superior educational institution," he said.
He also emphasized the importance of continuous innovation in various aspects of education and campus administration.
"In this era of education, we must continue to innovate, both in developing curricula that suit industry needs, adaptive teaching methods, and in more efficient and integrated campus management," he added.
Innovation is not only seen as an option, but as an essential requirement to maintain Polman Babel's relevance and competitive advantage at national and international levels.
Furthermore, I Made Andik Setiawan explained Polman Babel's long-term strategy for the next five years, which focuses on strengthening Human Resources (HR) and research-based educational innovation.
"We will strengthen lecturer competence through intensive training programs and improving academic qualifications, as well as encouraging student involvement in innovative research and community service programs that have a broad impact," he explained.
This is part of a strategic effort to ensure that Polman Babel graduates are not only ready to enter the world of work but are also ready to lead and innovate in various industrial sectors.
As part of this strategic plan, Polman Babel is also committed to becoming a center of excellence in technology research and development.
