Learning Sincerity and Patience in Life's Trials, Dharma Wanita Polman Negeri Babel Attends Religious Lecture by Ustadz Firdaus
A solemn atmosphere enveloped the 4th floor of the Joint Lecture Building of the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) on Friday (10/10/2025). The Polman Babel Dharma Wanita (Women's Association) held a religious activity with the theme "Sincerity and Patience in Life's Trials" (Ikhlas and Sabar Amidst Life's Trials) with Ustadz H. Firdaus, Lc., M.Pd. as the speaker.
The Dharma Wanita members attended enthusiastically, dressed in elegant Muslim attire, and listened quietly to every word of advice delivered by the ustadz.
Ustadz H. Firdaus, Lc., M.Pd., is an alumnus of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, and is the founder of the Ngopi Dakwah Community and Chairperson of the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) for Pangkalpinang City. He is also known as a preacher at the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) headquarters and actively preaches in various regions.
"In his sermon, Ustadz Firdaus discussed in depth the essence of life's trials that humans face. Every test given by Allah SWT has a noble purpose: to strengthen faith and test the patience of His servants," he added.
Furthermore, we must remember that trials are not a manifestation of Allah's wrath, but rather a means to draw closer to Him.
"God does not burden a person beyond their capacity. Behind every trial, there is always wisdom and help," he said.
Furthermore, Ustadz Firdaus outlined tips for bringing God's help into our daily lives. These include piety, trust in God, patience, maintaining prayer, supporting God's religion, uniting and avoiding disputes, abandoning sins, increasing repentance (istighfar), and praying," he said.
"With this in mind, don't underestimate prayer and istighfar, because through them the door to God's help opens," he advised.
During the event, the Chairperson of Dharma Wanita Polman Babel, Yang Fitri Arriyani, M.T., stated that this lecture was part of an effort to strengthen faith and strengthen ties among Dharma Wanita members.
"Activities like this are very important for broadening religious insight and fostering spiritual enthusiasm amidst the busyness of daily life," Yang Fitri stated.
The event concluded with a question-and-answer session between participants and Ustadz Firdaus. The atmosphere became warm and interactive as the Dharma Wanita mothers shared their experiences and asked questions about how to face life's trials with sincerity and patience.
